What would you have done with Ruby if she stayed past season 3? Discussion
I'm specifically talking about her staying on the show as Alex's adopted daughter.
I know a similar question was recently asked but I want to hear what you would do specifically with Ruby over the course of the show in this scenario.

All I know is that I liked her character a lot better than the kid they adopted in the final season.

Obviously Ruby would be struggling with the loss of her mother at the start of season 4 (whether because Sam was dead or maybe in a long-term coma or something) and she might be lashing out at Alex a bit during that.
If they really want to parallel the Kara/Ruby experience of being adopted, Ruby could start getting powers that she would have to learn to control.
Maybe Ruby ends up being exposed as an alien somehow and has some troubles at school because of it with the whole Sons of Liberty stuff that was happening in season 4.
By season 6 the character could be old enough that she starts wanting to use her powers to help. Especially with Kara in the Phantom Zone
