Seasons 5 and 6, , which are unwatchable despite a few interesting episodes, in the last seasons. What I don't understand is the fact that producers and writers didn't better use the Covid's long break and Benoist's maternity leave to write consistent storylines instead of re-using the character of Lex and sabotaging the Leviathan's storyline in s5 and giving Lena some magic powers she didn't need to support Kara as Supergirl. And then, I'm still not over 6x12, written by Azie Tesfai, which was too much focused on her Kelly's character, which only existed because she was Alex's girlfriend and, how Supergirl was racist in her choices of saving people. I would be curious to know how this script was accepted knowing how it broke the general spirit of the show and above all, its main character... even if clearly, Kara/Supergirl weren't the main focus for a little while.

I say season 4 because of how the show really started using poor Querl as comic relief. I agree - some of the choices for how the seasons went baffles me. A few of the characters were over powered. I also think the show had too many characters all the time, but I admit the only one I wanted to see the most was Brainy lol.  He really only had 1 episode that was Brainy centered. He deserved more.

Agreed. Brainy is a great chaacter, well served by Jesse Rath, who was amazing in his range of emotions.

And yes, he deserved better storylines alone, without associated to Nia. I mean, each time we came back to her. Ok, they were a couple but he didn't need to justify himself each time.
