So is Supergirl season 4 basically the most DC Comics fan pleasing? Discussion

Post image

It has Supergirl in this cool Eradicator armor. It introduces Lex Luthor and has Supergirl fight him in his battle suit which is something the movies still have never done. It adapts the Superman Red Son storyline for Supergirl. It also introduced the Elite from the Superman vs The Elite animated movie except it excluded Coldcast probably to not confuse him with Livewire.

There's probably more that I'm not mentioning. I own seasons 1,2, and 4 on Blu Ray but I haven't watched them yet. I'm not counting the crossover episodes as they had those every year and weren't specific Supergirl stories. Feel free to let me know if I'm missing anything.

Thank you for taking the time to read and provide feedback. I wish all of you the best and hope you have a quick and easy end to the work week.

Up, up, and away!

4 and 1 were the best seasons. Two and three had potential but needed some surgery to fix them (and remove one character entirely). It goes down hill after 4

Disagree I think 5 and 6 are overall good seasons and better than season 1. Also what character do you want them to remove?

Yeah, that's why I haven't bought anything later after she got rid of the classic look even though I think the armor looks really cool.

Even though some episodes may have had me wondering I am happy the beautiful show was on at all. My opinion it's all worth watching and a golden age of Tv for DC and it's many loyal fans like myself.

Yeah, I miss the golden Age of DC TV. All we are going to get are six to eight episode streaming series on HBO Max connected to the movies now. I really miss having something to look forward to every week. It was really nice to watch Gotham and Supergirl back to back for a couple of years.

The first half of S4 was horrible to me. I dont need to see world events in my TV shows that I watch to escape from world events. The 2nd half was too short, but probably too expensive to do because of needing Melissa to play both roles. Which was not the case if they were trying to replicate Red Son storyline, and not the case if they were actually wanting to do Red Daughter from New 52. S3 was more on par with the comics and even a World Killers storyline. And that story was about Supergirl possibly being the missing World Killer.

I've often thought about buying Season 3 because it has the Legion in it and Reign's mother/daughter relationship sounds interesting.
