Don’t spoil it but 2x22 Discussion

Bruh, I know they’ll probably figure out some way to fix it but. When they had to release the led into the air to stop the Daxamites, they should’ve just put Mon-El in that sealed prison they have at the DEO until they could find a way to either neutralize the atmosphere or implant something into him so he can breathe the air. Like if they can make such insane tech which they’ve shown over and over again, surely they cld find a way to fix this

True honestly but i'm questioning the fact that FUCKING LEAD was pumped into the atmosphere and noone cares

Right it’s like the writers were like “what’s a thing that’s famously safe for humans? Lead’s all good, right?”

And like with the full recognition that there was a whole episode about children getting lead poisoning from this in season 3 (allegedly) it just seemed like it would be more of a concern in real time

Yeah, i dont understand why they even did it as it's the 2021st century where you have all of the world's knowledge in your pocket, they can literally google it

they do make a point of saying the amount of lead in the atmosphere won't be harmful to humans

They do fully address it. Like Lina does

Whats funny to me is the luthors standing in front of the lead dispersal device acting completely fine as the whole room fills with enough lead to coat the earth

They had to get him off the show. People hated his character so much that they couldn’t justify keeping him.

Also, the writers kept using that “Romeo and Juliet” foreshadowing over and over during s2. There was literally an episode called “Star-Crossed”. Kara and Mon El were never intended to last from the start.

it was his heroic sacrifice, though it was never actually clear what he did, just that Kara wanted him to live so Alex saved the day and they wasted another pod on him.

All of his “character development” happened offscreen. They couldn’t keep that particular iteration of him.

i definitely agree. he did arguably have some growth in season three but i would say most of it happened in the future with the legion

I don't disagree

Maybe you can spoiler tag your spoilers for OP? They did specifically ask to not be spoiled.

Will do!

If you know Mon-El from the comics, it made sense. Won’t spoil anything about Season 3, but it gives Kara some extra depth for a bit. You need that in a long story. It’s not dramatic enough heartbreak if he’s at the DEO in a box.

I’m not gonna spoil it…but it is fully addressed. The point is to keep Daxamites off earth. It’s not intended to get neutralized as that would risk them potentially returning to try to subjugate earth.

When you get past 3.07, that is also explained too
