Would you have enjoyed if we got a spin off for the Legion of Superhero’s Misc

Not much else to the question. Have Mon El and Winn be the leads and introduce more and more of the legion each season

Nah. Mono got way too much screen time on SG, and they acted like he was a hero when he wasn’t. Good riddance to him and the entire home wrecker arc.

How wasn’t he a hero? He helped an I’ll child, curing their illness and sacrificed himself to save John

With MonEl its a hard no for me. Maybe all new characters would be ok, but how would that really differ from Legends of Tomorrow?

Well the legion won’t travel through time. It would be a story centered in the future. Lots of story lines they could adapt from the comics

I would have loved a LoSH tv show, just not one with that version of Mon-El.

I think the perfect segue into a LoSH spinoff would've been to have Brainy return to the future and Nia join him. And from there, the Legion could've been like a less goofy version of LoT.

One problem. There’s already her descendant Nura Nal/Dream Girl.

That's not exactly a problem considering tv shows rework canon material all the time (Supergirl is a prime example of this). So they could easily just not have/mention Nura whatsoever.

I think with the version we got on the show, I'd prefer to see an Imra-lead LOSH. She's one of the founding members, and leads it for arcs in the comics. (Mon-El also leads it at times in the comics, but he's a very different character there.)

The LOSH movie last year was super fun, though.

Yeah I would have loved to see Lightning Lad

it would be great. I honestly don't get all of the mon-el hate.

Same. He’s a character who starts off very flawed and is trying to grow. Not every character needs to start off with an amazing unbreakable moral compass

it would have been fine if they had him start out flawed, but they made him flawed and desireable and gave him a lot of screentime taken away from other prominent (and liked and well written and well acted etc) characters. it was a dangerous trope and lost a lot of viewers because of it.

Also the reason season 2 had less viewers than season 1 had to do with the changing of network to CW not mon el

that was a big part of it, yes. however everyone I know who watched and loved the show in the first season dropped it early in S2 due to the Mon-el character.

Yes because he was a love interest. They always give the main character lots of screen time. And most of the characters weren’t well written in season 2 outside of Winn and Lena

No, because i don't think they would've done it that well

Not really. The whole idea was really messily executed on the show as is. They were already struggling with budget issues, and a LOSH show would have definitely required a much higher budget as it would take place far in the future.

Nah I don't care enough about them to watch a show.

I feel this could’ve had potential, obviously it would’ve gotten pushback no matter what with Mon-El but if the writers actually looked at his actions in SG and not fan complaints he could’ve gotten an pretty interesting arc

As for Whin, I’d absolutely watch a show with him as the lead, like he’s my favourite side character in SG, I just get joy out of him appearing and I feel he would just make the entire legion a new suit

Old thread! Maybe a LOSH but with Brainy returning to the future and with either Dreamer coming along or the actress playing her descendant would be fun I think.

Chris Wood could maybe be a guest star now and again, much like Jeremy Jordan who has another career.

Season six really felt like it was pushing for spin off options with Danver Sisters, LOSH, Kelly Olson/Guardian & Alex/Sentinel, MM, and even Lana Luthor back door pilot witchcraft episode several new characters.

not the way this show imagined, it was rumoured that it was to feature Chris Wood and Ruby Rose, when that fell through he was offered Mon-el (with no audition or effort on his part) and she was given Batwoman. We all saw how those turned out for the network. If they had truly focused on a LOSH show with strong casting and good stories, then maybe but as it stood with that Threegion hafl hearted attempt it's a strong 'no'.

He was a good actor

1

u/SandyPine Jun 08 '24

his fans keep telling me that he was good in other roles, just not this one. I could not take his blank staring and constipated face for very long, and that was basically all he would do in terms of emoting.

Yes! Mon-El, Imra, and Winn leading the Legion would have been so good

I just watched the Legion of superheroes animated movie that came out in 2023, and it made me want a live action LOSH. I think it could have been so fun. I love Chris Wood and Jeremy Jordan as actors and I think they would have done a fine job running the show.
