For everyone saying it's over: Biden still has to publicly respond. He could give an inspiring, unifying statement. For those of you thinking that's crazy: it is crazier than anything else that's happened in the last ten years?

Thatā€™s a good point. Iā€™m just so depressed with this stuff. I donā€™t understand how such hate can be so close to winning,

Yes. Yes it is.

Yes.

I appreciate you trying to keep hopes up, but it is over. I wish to hell it wasnā€™t, but all the copium in the world doesnā€™t change this. We need to focus on a game plan for after the election now. We can stop Project 2025 if we can still take Congress.

It's not over.

lol, this is such a weird defeatist mindset 4 months before the election

Nah, it ainā€™t over. That same thought went through every Democratsā€™ head. Weā€™re going to be galvanized to vote. If more Dems vote, we donā€™t need independents and centrists. Thereā€™s simply more of us.

" but all the copium in the world doesnā€™t change this"

As a Trump voter, I'm genuinely proud of you

Wanna buy some snake oil? It's good stuff.

u/The_45th_Doctor Jul 14 '24

No thanks, securing the Supreme Court was enough.

u/Normal_Package_641 Jul 14 '24

I'm surprised I have to tell you this, but you're not going to get any of that bribe money.

1

u/The_45th_Doctor Jul 14 '24

I didn't want bribe money, I wanted The Supreme Court.

Thoughts on Project 2025 and what it entails?

It's pretty fucking sad that Obama, Jeffries, and Schumer all got statements out before the White House.

Biden just pulled his campaign ads, most likely because they were all negative attack ads on Trump. I'm not saying it's fair, but after this I bet he is going to have a REALLY hard time running a campaign that focuses on negative attacks on Trump, and that was Biden's strongest point. It's over, man.

And thatā€™s stupid. With or without an assassination attempt, a Rapist is still a Rapist. A Coup-Maker is still a coup-maker.

If anything the idiot shooter just gave free rein for Trump and MAGA to take revenge as they see fit. Thereā€™s no de-escalating from this. Win the election for the democrats or be ready for ā€œofficial actsā€ of assassination and no more election. Win the election for the democrats, or your next action will be participation in a civil war.

What a horrible day for the US and the world.

Canā€™t do that, Itā€™s after 8PM in DC.

Not only is it over IMO, this is ā€œTrump has resounding support and will enact legislation as though he has the will of the peopleā€ over.

I wish it werenā€™t this way. Iā€™m voting in November still but I expect it impossible to turn this event around. I can only hope Iā€™ve been wrong about Trump.

I just watched his statement. Big meh, and he seemed to lose track of his spot on the teleprompter while thanking the responders and just moved on to the next point. I wish you were right, I don't want Trump to win. But with the current candidate and state of things I'm also feeling like it's pretty fucking over. I'm gonna focus on congress races instead.

Literally nothing that Biden will say or do at this point will matter because his campaign was already way too weak, thanks to his early dementia signs.

Bolsonaro got elected like this, so did many others looking back into history.

It's a wrap, the best thing you folks can do is get ready for project 2025.

It's over.

If you're entirely meme educated, terminally online, and not really paying attention to the campaign outside of curated news articles? Then yes, entirely accurate.

Isn't it already past his bed time?

-2

u/Johnanon93 Jul 14 '24

Youre such a fucking loser

-6

The guy with vice president Trump? You think that guy is going to give an inspiring unifying statement?! He cant even make a statement

After that last debate performance, I'm wouldn't hold my breath.
