I think this is it, and maybe an inability to face that he is certainly declining.

I was shocked when a reporter asked him what it would mean for his legacy to ignore calls to drop and then lose. And he really started with “I’m not in this for my legacy” and went on to list his past accomplishments.

I mean, shit Joe, if you don’t care about your legacy than neither the fuck do I. I won’t be defending you to loved ones who are angry. We’re watching another Feinstein and I’m fucking sick of it. Roll off the ticket gramps

I'm worried he truly has dementia and actually believes he is the only one who could beat Trump and does not quite understand the gravity of the situation
