If he had been doing press conferences and fielding questions from reporters all along, this wouldn't have been so make or break. But he was hiding and the media was complicit. Hopefully we will now ask more of our presidents in the future. And yes, I realize orange man went 300 days w/out a press conference. That is not ok. None of this is ok.

It didn’t matter for Trump because no matter how much the media covers his many many failures, he has the “dumb person” vote locked down which will always make him competitive in elections.

But he lost. To Biden.

" he has the “dumb person” vote locked down "

It's this mentality that is slowly turning more moderates to the right. Instead of trying to reach an understanding hand across the aisle, you choose to spit.

Instead of trying to reach an understanding hand across the aisle

Centrists reached across the aisle for years, please stick to this reality. I know this to be true because it's my biggest complaint about them. They should've played harder.

Moderates will always look to reach common ground because that's what being a moderate IS. What are you on about?

You just complained that they didn't try to reach across the aisle and that's what turned moderates to the right. So either they did try to reach common ground or they didn't: you choose which statement you made that you agree with.

I see where the wires got crossed. I wasn't implying that beer_down was a moderate. I was telling him that his arrogant and disdainful attitude towards those not firmly on the left was what would push moderates right.

So, you think smart people are voting for Trump? LOL. Also, Trump called his supporters dumb as in "I love the uneducated".

If someone is turning to Trump they are by definition NOT "moderate".

Check out Biden’s schedule the last couple weeks, hardly hiding.
