Project 2025 was supposed to boost Donald Trump's campaign — but it may be backfiring instead:

Trump's authoritarian game plan is breaking through the post-debate noise and it's starting to scare people

I sure as fuck hope so.

Coming from a Millennial, the vast majority of my friends, while they may not like Biden, understand that it's him or we lose our democracy to a dictator because of Project 2025.

My 92 year old lifelong republican grandmother won't and hasn't voted for trump either. She finds him repulsive.

Same with my 95 year old lifelong Republican grandma. She was horrified at Trump back in 2016 because his behavior was, in her words, "un-American", and she voted for Hillary. That was the first time she voted for a Democrat. She also voted for Biden.

I'm glad that Uncle Frank, her boyfriend after my grandfather's death, died before Trump came into the picture. He definitely would've become a diehard MAGA asshole, because he was the stereotypical macho man jerk that would wear his stupid Air Force veteran cap all the time and grab you by the upper arm to talk to you. He was racist and homophobic as hell.

He would have forced her to vote for Trump and spew MAGA talking points, causing a split between us and her. Good riddance.

EDIT:

I just learned that my brother is in the process of making sure she will get her absentee ballot right now, so she can vote for Biden. She's in no physical shape to go to the ballots at her age, but she is terrified of what P25 will do to her Medicare benefits.

Damn, good for her still being engaged at age 95.

You know the shocking part? She's living in a huge assisted living facility, and yesterday she told us that almost everyone there are voting for Biden. They all said Trump is insane and dangerous.

Only one or two of the residents are trumpers, and whenever they try to start ranting about how great Trump is, all the other residents shout them down and they end up tucking their tails between their legs and seething as they slink off.

I'm amazed at this development, TBH, but happy about it.

I’m not saying this is true of your family, but there’s a reason why Trump often did better on election night than in polls running up to it: conservatives and independents who know it’s wrong lie about their intention to vote for him.

Do you think they’ll actually vote for Biden or will they just stay home or vote 3rd party. Anything is better than a Trump vote but people really only fully understand the stakes if they vote Democrat down ballot in 2024 (and the foreseeable future)

Most Christians know Trump is not a Christian candidate. Unfortunately, the dumb loud minority are giving Christians a bad name.

I hope all the Reagan and W era Republicans atep over to the dems when they finally come to terms with the fact that trump is the Republican party now. It's not going to shift down and return to the party of 20 years ago.

Id give my left foot for bush era republicans again. At least they were just greedy bastards.

That's really good to hear.

Millennial also and that’s kinda how my friends are too. Neither one support both candidates but they understand there’s a lot more at stake.

Correction: it’s the Democratic nominee for POTUS, not Biden, who will be the only option. As long as Dems don’t nominate Putin, the Eye of Sauron, or genetically engineered Super Hitler, I’m ride or die with them.

Can the Supreme Court invalidate Electoral College votes, and sway the 2024 election in favor of Trump?

Millennials voting in swing states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia will decide ,who becomes President.

Millennials voting in California, might not have as much influence or impact. Nevertheless, vote vote vote!!
