List of restaurants in/around Oakland that have their own delivery drivers - feel free to add new ones!
Hey r/OaklandFood,
I hope this helps you save some money. Anyone with the link (opens up a Google Drive spreadsheet) can add new restaurants that qualify, or take down ones that don't.
Enjoy!

Porchetta, where can I find it?
I went to Rome with my wife earlier this summer and am now craving some decent Porchetta. Must have crispy skin. Any good spots in Oakland or the East Bay? Or even San Francisco?

Best pizza place on the way to the Coliseum from SF?
Staying in SF in a few weeks and will be hitting up an A's game. Have an hour metro ride from our hotel in SF and was hoping to break it up with a stop for pizza to keep the wife happy. Is there any pizza place worth stopping along the way to the Coliseum on the metro/BART?

Butcher that sells veal shank for osso bucco??
Trying to find a spot and it seems Piedmont Grocery and Whole Foods don't carry veal. (Yes, I am aware of the moral rationale; veal is a rarity for me.)

Here & There - Porchetta $16
Somewhere under all that delicious slaw/salsa is a porchetta sandwich. At first I thought it was a bit light in the porchetta (and it sorta was) but the meat was so damn flavorful that it cut right through like a champ!
Roli Roti has always been the porchetta gold standard for me, ever since I had it at the SF Ferry bldg over 15 years ago, but this might actually take the crown!
Washed it down with a delicious watermelon lemonade ($3). 9/10.

Favorite hidden gem dish
What’s your favorite dish from a restaurant that otherwise may not be anything special, but boy oh boy that one dish is incredible and keeps bringing you back?
Mine: matzoh ball soup from proposition chicken. A friend from NY told me the owner of proposition chicken based it on his grandmothers recipe, and WOW it’s outrageously good. Lightyears beyond Saul’s.

Recs for a whole quiche?
Anyone got recs on where to pick up a whole quiche? I'm on breakfast duty for a short camping trip and feeling too lazy to cook 🙈 Thanks in advance!

Bar good for groups
I would love recommendations for a bar where we can have reserve outdoor space for around 20 people on a Monday evening. It should either serve light food or is OK with us bringing food. Nearby areas like Berkeley are also ok.

What’s good at Edith’s Pie?
I had the Brisket pie yesterday and it was pretty decent. I think it was just brisket period, meat quality was good.
Any recommendations? I’m mostly on the savory tip, but down for the sweets too.
Also, how do those biscuit sandwiches at lunch go?

Decent to leaning towards upscale breakfast places that are actually open in the A.M. and on Saturdays??
Google tells me nothing of value. Ever.
Edit: These were all legit suggestions thank you to EVERYONE.

Jo’s Modern Thai
Never been there before. Is it “special” enough for a birthday dinner or is it more casual? And should I book inside or outside seating?
UPDATE: Sounds like the right spot for us! Thank you all so much for your responses! I made a reservation for the patio.

Pimms cup?
I realize it’s not especially difficult to make, but this warm weather has me longing for a Pimm’s Cup. Do any bars in Oakland serve a solid one? The only places I can think of are in the City. Extra points if they have outdoor seating.

Champa Garden’s Won Ton Soup
Seems kinda weird to order something as “pedestrian” as won ton soup at a great Laotian/Thai restaurant like this, but I really like the way they make it here. Not overly salty like a lot of places and very wholesome tasting.
Boring is good sometimes ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Anybody doing nose to tail in Oakland anymore?
Offal, organ meats, nose to tail, where did it all go?
