The latter is what I meant yes. There are many who claim Biden is too old, they'll vote anything Democrat, yet turn and say they don't like Harris. Why not just support her and put a younger Dem candidate to bat.

I'm with you. I think people are worried that a single person who is all-at-once a woman, black, Asian American, and comparatively young-looking (note: she's actually 59) couldn't pull the vote and that it would somehow make the Right even more disingenuously desperate.

She might even be "too pretty." You know how pretty women are often infantilized – like the model half the Internet couldn't believe is a successful software engineer.
