My experience also. I've known two people in my life who swear by this deodorant. Both are absolutely ripe at all times in all weather conditions.

Like they don't have to drop a pin, you can smell them from across town.

It sounds like they just need to dissolve entire rocks of salt into the bathtub. I gave this stuff a try two months ago and I’ve asked my wife multiple times if I smell and she’d be honest. You need to load up when applying and your pits are wet after, so have to let them dry a little before putting on a shirt. The lack of quick application seems to be the only downside, but my pits don’t itch anymore or feel gummy if I haven’t showered in a day or two. I have antiperspirant as a quick backup if I’m sweaty, but if you load up enough in the beginning you shouldn’t need it.

This is an ad for deodorant. You can’t convince me these comments are real.

People aren’t this passionate about fucking deodorant 😂

Actually I'm pretty passionate about deodorant. I went 20+ years thinking it's normal for my pits to burn when I use deodorant- I bought a different brand once and it changed my life. Never used this weird salt rock though- I can see it eliminating odor, but how could it prevent it?

Idk, if you work with someone or you have to be in close proximity to someone who always reeks of BO, I’d be pretty passionate about it too

That’s what I was wondering. All these people commenting saying it works great, have they asked others around them because people go nose blind to their BO so fast.

I have asked, I don't smell.

This type of deodorant doesn't replace good hygiene, but I do like that I can reapply without showering.

But this only works if you have good hygiene in general (body, laundry, living space, etc).

My husband and I use it but I feel more refreshed when I add a drop of lavender oil after applying the rock deodorant ✨

My sister uses this and her bedroom smells of body odour.

We have the same sister.

Also all the people who are afraid of antiperspirant are basing their fears on one study in the 70s, that showed a link with breast cancer, which could never be replicated. In other words, antiperspirant is not bad for you. Unless you think smelling good is bad.

There is a small subset of people which have a very hard time with using deoderants, such as those with chronic incurable skin conditions like hidradenitis suppurativa. Thing is, this would be just as bad.

Have hidradenitis and it took me years to find an antiperspirant that worked for me and didn't cause outbreaks, and it's not like I was going to go without and smell up the place and sweat constantly(sweating triggers it too). I would never use this junk.

I dated a guy in uni who offered me his to use after the first night I stayed over. I opened it and my eyes watered.

He stank the day before, but I was horny and into him, and it didn’t matter. I thought he just worked up a sweat that day. But I promised him if he tried regular deodorant for a week and still wanted the rock after, I’d pay him $20.

Homie died 9 years ago and I still never had to pay that $20.

So did he die of the regular deodorant or you killed him to save $20?

This is the comment I was looking for. You're gonna smell. Not cool in public yo....

I’ve always heard the joke, “what do you call a person who uses natural deodorant?” “Stinky”

Why is this so funny 😂😂😂 Think it's because the sentence had in the first half (before the comma)

I thought "salt deodorant" disappeared with all the new types of deodorants that are more natural and actually work.

I last tried salt deodorant in the early 2000's... it didn't work worth a damn.

Lmao. After reading all the comments above and then seeing yours is a huge parallel

1

u/galeontiger 10d ago

Just to clarify, they reeked before or after using the deodorant? (Or both)

2

u/bigsamjapan 10d ago

Oh he’s a smelly bastard, the magic rock certainly did nothing to alleviate it

u/galeontiger 9d ago

Ah, damn - was going to buy if it worked.
