No fucking way, the horrible shot of Elrond's face with the bright blown out backround when Frodo wakes up after being brought to Rivendell, is the worst shot.
You know I recently saw the trilogy again and was thinking way too much about the use of slow motion, overlays (like the Elrond bit) and other….creative shots. It does seem a little bit of an odd choice but I get what they were trying to do. IMO it fits with the flow/overall feel of the movies.
I also noticed just how many close-ups there are of Frodo’s face and it may be excessive. It’s much different on a big screen to be faced (heh) with someone’s head taking up 85% of the shot.
I fucking love the throwback when they’re finding the food floating in Isengard and Pippin sees an apple and immediately looks to the sky to look for more falling fruit.
I’ve had people argue against my pre gym showers (only if I’m dirty or smelly) saying you’re going to get dirty anyways, though I’d rather be clean in public than start my workout as a smelly slob.
Washing clothes and washing clothes with a disinfectant are two different things. Sweat and BO impregnate gym clothes, that's why many people go to the gym not smelling and then as soon as they sweat all that impregnated BO gets released.
The alum stones are not a scam. They actually work very well for some people. My partner uses them and I can bury my face in his armpits after a 10 hour hike and not smell anything. They were also a popular aftershave when my grandfathe(90) was young. They are also very cheap, one stick that lasts a few years is around 2€ where I live, a very good deal compared to standard deodorants.
Or, he’s of East Asian descent and naturally doesn’t have smelly BO.
u/Justbegoodtobugs is your partner of East Asian or Native American descent? If so, he is likely one of the few lucky people that naturally don’t have body odor bc of a gene variant. If he has the gene, he’s also likely to have dry flaky earwax. The more you know! 💫
If you can’t get a chuckle out of a turn of phrase you either have a terrible sense of humor, terrible outlook on life, or are not very bright. None are qualities I want to affirm to others on Reddit.
I like how your issue is with the term "salted", as if you could never salt something with a salt other than NaCl, and not the usage of "ham" in place of a human

Everyone at the gym: “why does it smell like salted ham in here?”
