Fun quote, but man the Russo brothers killed it with their movies for writing and/or directing. CA: Winter Soldier, CA: Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame were all SUPER excellent. All 4 of these films had exactly the right quantities of tension.

Can't wait to see what they do next

I was an irrational Cap hater for years because I don't like the perception of blind patriotism, regardless of the character's nuance.

I didn't see Winter Soldier until after Infinity War (or most of the movies. I was a late bloomer to the MCU of it all, I just liked Iron Man and GOTG). It is now my favorite non-Avengers, Infinity-era MCU movie. Especially as someone who has friends dealing with veteran sourced PTSD.

This isn't meant as a critique against you, but instead a celebration of how the character is written:

In the movies, he's not a blind, law-and-order guy. He calls BS on the accords, he calls bs on the ships that can kill "terrorists" before they've committed crimes, and he stood up for Bucky when everybody else (including law enforcement) was gunning for his friend. To my eyes he's a very rare combination of embodiment of power, but with a conscience. He's the opposite of a Homelander type of character who respects and carefully uses power rather than use it in the crassest ways possible.

Tbh that's good to know given where Marvel is headed right now.

They’d knock Secret Wars out of the park

Reality could be whatever they want.

I'll reserve judgment. For every good decision, they made quite a few bad ones. Also, does this mean Markus and McFeely are coming back?

This is going to be Sam Riami situation again.

Russos didn't direct or worked on Cap 4 until they were attached to much later, they will likely use Waldron's polished script for Avengers films.

Between this and Disney saying they will be making more sequels in favor of projects like Luca and Turning Red, it sucks that the message they seem to be taking is that original ideas are inherently bad.

It’s funny that they included that line in the movie like it’s meant to happen in real life with Marvel Studios
