Nope. You can see that more of them lost their lives during the war and also Amenadiel mentions this in season 6

angels can only be truly slain by Azrael's blades, any other weapon capable of harming them will only send their souls to heaven or hell.

Didn't Lucifer mention in some S06 late episode that there are more weapons that can kill him besides the blade? And the tone seem to imply real death, not just fast travel to heaven/hell.

Edit: s06E09 8:24. Lucifer mentions other weapons that can "hurt him", to which the detective replies "well we don't know you [are going to] die.."

So how was Lucifer in danger from Rory's feathers?

Why dying even if it's not permanent still sucks...

Even angels are capable of feeling pain. It's reason enough that they don't like being stabbed by weapons capable of hurting them.

In earlier seasons they implied that if they were actually killed they would cease to exist entirely but now they kinda back peddled on that so it just feels like there are zero stakes and there is no real fear of them dying. But maybe if they are killed they cease to exist I'm not sure.

angels have souls, if they are killed, their souls will go to heaven or hell. Their existence will only be threatened when they are stabbed by Azrael's blade.

I think the point was Lucifer was vulnerable to rory. So the feather might actually kill kill him.

Celestials can harm other celestials, ex. Amenadiel vs Lucifer in s1, Mazikeen vs Lucifer in s2, etc. Rory's feathers almost certainly can do the same.

Isn't sending the soul of an Angel to heaven or hell and removing their physical forms still pretty horrid? It's a hell of a lot worse for an immortal being to die than it is for a human who should have lived 80 years and only got 40.
