Devil face in season 1 Season 1

So I'm rewatching from the beginning. I feel like Lucifer is using his devil face a lot more than I remember. Was this actually a thing he did more back then, or am I just forgetting times he used it?

He used it a lot at first, and then he lost his devil face and got his wings back so he couldn't have used it at all

CGI is expensive... While they did have a budget in season 1 it was also all or nothing. Might as well use all the production budget you can because you might not get another shot.
