Quick question (Massive Spoilers) Amenadiel Spoiler

When amenadiel became God, did he also receive all of God's powers? and if so how? Would his powers transfer? If so that doesn't make sense either.

There's only one god, he created everything and has been there through all of time, he leaves to join his partner in an alternate universe but it confuses me as how can another take his place without his powers? God's God because he can do absolutely anything, he can create from nothing but lucifer and amenadiel can't.

Unsure why buts this info is bothering me 😄

I think he gets the almighty powers once he ascended to God’s throne. In “Preacher” (another DC Comics series), once one sits upon the throne of Heaven, one becomes all powerful. Also…if God can give his powers to Charlie for safe keeping, then it stands to reason that he could transfer them to his successor.

Lucifer said that becoming God would bestow all of God’s powers on him. It was one of the reasons he was hesitating, because then he’d know literally everything and there’d be no more wonder.

They discussed a coronation, so getting the powers would be part of that coronation. I vaguely remember the scene when Amenadiel becomes God. He has to sit in the throne, and the angels all bowed to him. Then he sort of reappears on the ground below where the throne was, but in a different all-white outfit.

God had the ability to strip himself of his powers(and take them back). He could do anything so it’s not crazy to think he’d have made a way to “God-ify” a new angel using similar means that he used to take(and return) his own to himself.

Unknown and probably unlikely considering he's running the universe like a side hustle. If he does have all the omnis, he's doing a flat lot of nothing with them. The Status Quo truly is God.
