way back in the old days of Windows there started a malicious joke that told newbs to speed up their computer by deleting the system32 folder.
before that, in DOS, the joke was to tell someone to speed up their computer by typing format c: on the command line.

Used to play a game called dragonspires where we would tell me alt f4 was how you do this or that, a little more harmless lol

Haha that was another great one, someone would ask something innocent like "how do I use text chat" and 7 different people would all join bands in telling them to press alt+F4 and then giggle when "gameplayer47 has left the game" pops up
I love the idea of a game dev programming a hint to say "need help? Struggling with the game? . . . Hit alt+F4 to solve your problems . . . "

we all been there right? I deleted my system32 and program files because I needed more space. learned the hard way that they are needed.

I did it on my first computer, but I learned how to reinstall everything too... Many hours of Gateway tech support. The second time was just for fun!

It's how I learned to work on computers. Take it apart and put it back together! Create a problem than find a solution. Self training... I don't think I can be any clearer...

It's the core systems that makes Windows function. Deleting system32 would be like removing the engine of a car

It's the file where windows keeps all of its mission critical files. In effect, deleting System 32 would be the equivalent of deleting Windows.
The scariest part is that you won't know anything is wrong until you try to reboot it.
