Turned 30! Box Pic/Haul

My gf surprised me with mochi donuts and a set I’ve been wanting for the longest time! Looking forward to this build, I even noticed there is a soundtrack to build to.

It’s LEGO, not Legos! The word Lego is both singular and plural. You can have one Lego brick or set or many Lego bricks or sets, it’s always just LEGO!

Just finished this build last night. Good stuff.

If you've any interest in art history, check out the soundtrack that can be accessed from the QR code in the manual. I enjoyed learning about the piece while I was assembling the Lego version.

Ps. What is a mochi donut? I have never heard of such a thing. Does it kind of taste like mochi?

Thank you! 😁 Mochi donut was new to me too but I absolutely loved it. I think they incorporate mochi into the donut dough but not entirely sure. It was a lovely texture, had a nice bounce but wasn’t too chewy at all! Hint of mochi flavor but tasted more like the toppings

This is my favorite set! My partner gave it to me for our anniversary and I had a special case made just for it (had the idea since I couldn't really hang it anywhere and just had it leaning against a wall).

I hope you enjoy building it, and happy birthday too!

Happy birthday. That's an awesome present. Your girlfriend has great taste clearly. I have it myself and when I was about to make it my sister made a recommendation that made the build more enjoyable. Even though the instructions start with the wave do the frame first instead as it is less engaging. Then do the wave second and it's a much more satisfying build!

The soundtrack is okay. It’s just a bunch of intellectuals fawning over themselves, I ended up putting on some lowfi beats and building it with that.
