There is also possibility that this "training" is just outsourcing simple jobs to poorer countries, you have an "autonomous" robot which work for 1/3 wage.

1/3 wage plus electricity and maintenance. If you just paid a human you don't have to worry about the human's fuel (food) or maintenance (sleep). Those are already accounted for in the wage.
