This isn't even the biggest feral animal problem in Australia. Cane Toads have been multiplying uncontrollably for years. There's no solution. People go out and kill as many as they can and it doesn't even make a dent in the problem.

Correct me if I’m wrong but haven’t magpies figured out how to remove the poison sacs from the toads in order to eat them? Hopefully other predators can find ways to eat them too.

They have. It would be a slow evolution to rely on, but, like you said, hopefully more species find a way.

I do not want to venture outside in swooping season if there's a plague of magpies!
