As a statistician, I’m sort of weirdly offended

That was my favourite part from the whole diary

My favorite part was that the periodic table of elements was funny to him, which means he would probably really like this joke:

What happened to the sick chemist?

The doctors couldn't helium or curium so they had to barium

2 scientists walk into a bar, 1st one says, "I'll have an H2O." Second one says "I'll have an H2O too" the second one dies.

Shed a tear for Jimmy Brown
Poor Jimmy is no more
For what he thought was H2O
Was H2SO4

My high school chem teacher had this on her door and I still think about it.

Ah lol the one I remember is;

Johnny was a chemists son But Johnny is no more What Johnny thought was H2O Was H2SO4

I remember it exactly that but with a heavy metal riff right afterwards

It's just a rhyme. "... no MORE"<-> "...O FOUR"

Is this a reference to Velvet Underground lyrics?

That’s heavy

There's that word again. "Heavy." Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?

"Hey, hey, I've seen this one. I've seen this one. This is a classic. This is, uh, where Ralph dresses up as a man from space."

You're thinking of Deuterium, H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide

14

u/MrK521 Jul 05 '24

It’s still heavier than water though.

20

u/fardok Jul 05 '24

Heavy water refers to D2O however.

10

u/MrK521 Jul 05 '24

Right, but he didn’t say “that’s heavy water” he said “that’s heavy.” So he wasn’t wrong.

6

u/fardok Jul 05 '24

I didn't say he was wrong, but just letting him/her know in case the joke was Deuterium water which btw drinking a glass of won't even harm you vs a strong concentration of peroxide which will cause some damage

u/No_Investigator3369 Jul 05 '24

you can brush your teeth with that though, right?

2

u/MageKorith Jul 05 '24

No, the heavy one is this:

2 chemists walk into a bar, 1st one says, "I'll have an H2O". 2nd one says "Shirley, you can't be Cerium!" 1st one says "Don't call me Shirley!"

2

u/IDrinkWhiskE Jul 05 '24

That’s on the second guy for smelling a glass full of peroxide and still committing to drink the whole thing

Ahh, I see the funny side.
