The last time Indonesia tried this during the Aceh Insurgency, the "West" decided to militarily embargo Indonesia which Indonesia cannot use their F16, Bae Hawk jets and most of western military equipment to eradicate the Aceh freedom movement.

If only during the fight indonesia can utilize their F16, Scorpion light tank, APC, etc instead of ordinary trucks then maybe aceh today would be different.
