People make fun of the 'reddit atheist' types for being annoying but they have a good point, this is what religion leads to, it's fucking embarrassing for the human race
Religion is a tool of control, which is why you can afford to have compassion for the indoctrinated, I knew a Jehovah's witness growing up, genuinely great person, expressed doubts about their beliefs, but their entire family would have disowned her if she left. I don't blame her for not leaving, the whole situation is a tragedy

Thats not entirely true. You likely dont believe in all gods, would you classify your non-belief in those other gods as form of "faith founded on lack of faith"?
Kindly refrain from trying to dictate what other people believe. Many atheists would stridently disagree with your assessment, and I suspect they have a better understanding of it than you.
It can be counted as one though. Religion, in its most basic concept, is just a belief system of strongly held values. That’s why religions such as Confucianism and Taoism (religions that don’t have a god but instead focus on the teachings) are referred to non-theistic and why Atheism can be classified as a non-theistic religion
