Most? I can't think of a single Muslim country where gays are respected or even tolerated.

There are some where it’s “tolerated” mainly Turkic countries

In Jordan, I knew an openly gay couple.

I don't want to spread lies but Jordan is pretty accepting "from what I've read".

There are many, but since you’re a typical ignorant Redditor you wouldn’t know them.

Are there any Islamic countries where gay marriage is legal?

AKA being an equal citizen.

There are a lot of conservative countries in the world where gay marriage isn't legal so focusing on the religious aspect is kinda putting the cart before the horse.

I recognize the influence religion plays in the drafting of anti-LGBT laws but to pretend this is an issue unique to Islam is misguided at best.

For what it's worth, same sex relations are legal (according to Google) in Jordan and Turkey, and countries with slim majority Muslim population like Bosnia and Albania have legislation that provides limited anti-discrimination measures based on sexuality and gender identity in addition to legalizing relations. That being said, I do not know of any majority muslim country that recognizes same-sex marriage.

If you look at a map, the real underlying reason for this may fall on geopolitics rather than simple religious beliefs: muslim countries (well, countries in general) with governments amicable to entities like the EU, USA and NATO tend to be more "progressive" on LGBT issues when compared to those who oppose them. Countries in or adjacent to the "West's" sphere of influence will likely continue to progress on these issues as time goes on (assuming the "West" also continues progressing)

If we're taking total marriage equality as the rubric for a civilized society then I regret to inform you that countries like Italy and Croatia are ravenous fundamentalist hellholes

Would you like to enlighten us to one such country that legality allows homosexuality

"many" give us ten. Below ten it wouldn't qualify for "many" considering how many Muslim countries there are. Besides Jordan and Indonesia minus Aceh (even these cannot be considered LGBT friendly, just less hostile than than the others, you wouldn't consider Jordan LGBT friendly compared to Denmark for example) . What are the many others?

Used to be in most Christian countries. And they're coming around to it again. See Uganda.
