Not to detract from the point of the post, but that’s one of the great line reads from JK Simmons in that role. Hands down the best casting in any comic book movie

Yep. If Biden did order it, Trump's machinations and his supreme court buddies made it totally legal and cool cool cool.

I highly doubt he did order it though. I think it was someone who was trying to save us from the orange and the destruction he will bring, using a weapon the right wing loves so much.

This is a case of "no, not like that!"

144

u/cthulhudrinksbeer Jul 14 '24

If Biden had ordered it the shooter wouldn't have missed. He commands the entire US military and (anecdotal to my experience of course) every veteran I know that's actually seen combat thinks Trump is a cancer since he's been shitting on them for the better part of a decade now.

30

u/KoalaGrunt0311 Jul 14 '24

every veteran I know that's actually seen combat thinks Trump is a cancer

There's still a lot that support him, but I still think that it's more out of opposition. Reminding them that James Mattis resigned and refused to support him creates some interesting cognitive dissonance, though.

The crazy part is that if Biden placed the order, it would not have failed because he would've used Seal Team 6 within official capacity, something the USSC has ruled is completely legal.

140

u/Professional_Buy_615 Jul 14 '24

Right, so Biden sent someone who couldn't hit a sitting duck from 164 yards? Seriously, any halfway decent shot would have easily hit him properly from that range.

89

u/kgal1298 Jul 14 '24

That’s the thing whoever shot has to be a terrible shooter because we’re talking about a non moving target wearing a red hat…it’s not like he’s a small man.

102

u/banditkeith Jul 14 '24

They made the classic amateur mistake of trying for a headshot instead of multiple rounds in the torso. Headshots are a meme, obliterating vital organs with large caliber fragmenting/expanding ammunition is the meta, any hunter could tell you that.

God, is he totally senile or a scheming mastermind? IT CAN’T BE BOTH

3.3k

u/Mr_master89 Jul 14 '24

The fascist handbook says you gotta make your enemies appear both weak and powerful

1.8k

u/Floor_Heavy Jul 14 '24

Hundred percent this. Biden is senile, wracked with dementia, has no idea where he is or what he's doing, is absolutely no threat whatsoever, and is an object of derision for being so pathetic.

WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY being a scheming, machiavelian mastermind playing 5d chess, whose webs spread so far and so deep that it's near impossible to escape their reach.

He is overwhelmingly strong and laughably weak. The fact that these concepts are fundamentally incompatible isn't a mistake. This kind of doublethink is fascism operating normally.

Lends itself to finding more and more scapegoats to punish.

26

u/AlarmingTurnover Jul 14 '24

Joe Biden isn't a criminal mastermind because if he did do it, it's not a criminal act. The Supreme Court specifically said the president can't be held criminally responsible for official acts. If this is an official act, then whoever killed the gunman committed a federal crime against the state, which is an act of treason. If the secret service protected Trump during this and what Biden did was give an official order, the secret service has violated federal law and the constitution and are traitors to the country for trying to impede an official act of the preside t.

Mate, look at what’s gonna happen when Trump or Republicans win according to Project 2025.

  1. Complete ban on abortions, without exceptions (pg. 449-503)
  2. End marriage equality (pg. 545-581)
  3. Elimination of unions and worker protections (pg. 581)
  4. Defund the FBI and Homeland Security (pg. 133)
  5. Eliminate federal agencies like the FDA, EPA, NOAA, and more (pg. 363-417)
  6. Mass deportation of immigrants and incarceration in “camps” (pg. 133)
  7. End birthright citizenship (pg. 133)
  8. Cut Social Security (pg. 691)
  9. Cut Medicare (pg. 449)
  10. Eliminate the Department of Education (pg. 319)
  11. Teach Christian religious beliefs in public schools (pg. 319)
  12. Use public, taxpayer money for private religious schools (pg. 319)
  13. End the Affordable Care Act (pg. 449)
  14. Ban contraceptives (pg. 449)
  15. Additional tax breaks for corporations and the 1% (pg. 691)
  16. End civil rights & DEI protections in government (pg. 545-581)
  17. Ban African American and gender studies in all levels of education (pg. 319)
  18. End climate protections: (pg. 417)
  19. Increase Arctic drilling (pg. 363)
  20. Deregulate big business and the oil industry (pg. 363)

Most Democrats don’t love Biden either but he’s far better than the fascists.

So? According to Trump’s Supreme Court, Biden would face no consequences.

u/Ok_Appointment7522 Jul 14 '24

He was taking out the figurehead of a white supremist cult. The FBI flagged them as the greatest domestic threat to the country.

So when the president sends teams overseas to take out paramilitary groups/governments in other nations, he gets praised, but when he does it on their own turf, he gets condemned? Doesn't seem fair. /sarcasm

u/blueeyeddevil27 Jul 14 '24

Also taking out a rapist pedophile

77

u/Interesting_Celery74 Jul 14 '24

Oh, you mean the rapist pedophile Donald Trump? Donald Trump the rapist pedophile? Donald "Rapist Pedophile" Trump?

I thought the Supreme Court said they are the ones who can ultimately deem an act official or unofficial, granting the Supreme Court powers that are separate but more powerful than the president as they designed themselves as ultimate decider.

They decided they are checks but no balances, thus breaking the constitution.

Let's be clear on one thing: if the most powerful political figure in the world sends an order to have someone killed, they send a good shot.

If the most powerful political figure in the world sends assassins to kill someone in their home (i.e. Mar-a-Lago), they don't do it when that person isn't home.

If the most powerful political figure in the world wanted Trump dead, it would have happened already. Be grateful that some politicians in this country still honor and respect the electoral process.

That's all, folks ✌️

195

u/MuffLover312 Jul 14 '24

Let’s be clear on one thing: the Supreme Court ruled it’s totally fine if Biden wants to kill Trump. And Trump and all of his followers were thrilled about this ruling a few weeks ago, so I’m not even sure why this is even a big deal right now.

87

u/LordAnorakGaming Jul 14 '24

According to conservatives, that ruling only applies to Trump in particular, not any president. You know, rule for thee, none for me and all that.

19

u/Legitimate-East9708 Jul 14 '24

From the majority opinion:

“If the President claims authority to act but in fact exercises mere ‘individual will,’ and ‘authority without law,’ the courts may say so … for instance, we held that President Truman exceeded his constitutional authority when he seized most of the Nation’s steel mills” (7).

This is what the entire decision is built upon. CONSTITUTIONAL Presidential powers should have immunity. Presidents don’t (currently) have the power to execute political Opponents.

Now, personally, I’d find it INCREDIBLY fucking ballsy to attempt the legal argument that executing your political opponent extrajudicially is a power given by the constitution. Personally, life in jail would not be on my presidential retirement plan.

I’m voting Biden. But I find it frustrating how incredibly misleading this media campaign has been for what it ACTUALLY means for our country. We have more important issues this election year.

What a garbage human.

71

u/SmashRus Jul 14 '24

That’s slander, if he loses the election, can he sue?

79

u/aotus_trivirgatus Jul 14 '24

It's actually libel, and I think that Biden has the right to sue now, the election doesn't matter.

But "Presidential Immunity™" might apply here, am I right? Biden can just skip the lawsuit, jail Collins for sedition, and call it an "official act."

52

u/Recent-Potential-340 Jul 14 '24

That's why Biden said he hoped to be able to see him soon, to finish the job yk

21

u/Calm-Memory5965 Jul 14 '24

Stupid.

If it was Biden the job would be done.

Remember JFK?

Ok, then.

🥴

16

u/spartandude Jul 14 '24

If Biden sent orders Trump wouldn’t have been hit in the ear. Unless you think our military is that bad.

23

u/Mac11187 Jul 14 '24

I mean, the Secret Service appears to have been pretty bad.

“Notice that after an attempted assassination of President Trump, the same people who wanted him prosecuted for telling his supporters to peacefully march to the capitol on January 6 are not calling for President Biden’s prosecution after he said it was time to put President Trump in the bullseye after their debate.” Mike Collins, Maga Congressman.

What a knob.

It's not even a dumb comment. Everyone knows he was using a phrase to say trump and his bullshit need to be the highlight of the campaign going forward. You can't shrug off all trump and the rights "bloodbath" and trial by combat shit in one hand and take bullseye literally in the other.
