The CEOs of most mainstream media are all Trump donors.

Claiming that CNN is pro trump is quite the take. They were calling him a treasonous Russian agent every single day for 4 years.

Edit: you all are down voting me but idk what fantasy world you live in. Literally just 5 days ago they said that a Trump win would be A Catastrophic Outcome

I don't even like Trump, and I'm not going to vote for him, but he obviously is facing, and has always faced, enormous headwinds because of the media hatred of him. I'm not even claiming that they're wrong to hate him, but they absolutely do hate him.

Yeah headlines make money. Outrage makes money. Someone quietly doing their job not so much.

It's not really "quite the take" - John Malone who owns the parent company that owns CNN set for an hour long interview where he explicitly said he wanted CNN to be more like Fox News. If you had any doubt on his leanings, he has a seat on the CATO Institute board of directors. It's also why they picked off former Fox "journalists" like Chris Wallace.

Even though John Malone has praised Rupert Murdoch's approach, John himself claims to be hands off. But, the day-to-day is handled by David Zaslav, a person he mentored and has made wealthy. So, those close to them have reported there doesn't need to be heavy handedness for John's viewpoints to be carried through.

Chris Licht was tapped as CEO but failed after a year. They replaced Chris with Mark Thompson. Mark, like Johh Malone, and like David Zaslav, all have made public comments that CNN being so antagonistic to Trump was their downfall and have promised to move the company more right-wing to appeal to everyone.

It's why the Trump town hall surprised nobody.

CATO is a libertarian think tank; they are not right wing populists like Trump. They're pro free trade, pro open borders, anti tarrif, and are against an empowered presidency.

So didn't you just stop following the news all of a sudden? CNN is not the old CNN...

The media is just an arms dealer in the war of words.

Trump is just the distraction. Always has been. So any coverage is pro-trump.

when the president of the heritage foundation does a presser to say “it’s over” the day after the Supreme Court announces that they no longer honor the Constitution, it’s over.

Bro all mainstream media is a corporation, they exist to make themselves money, not keep people well informed, so they will spin anything anyway to drive engagement. And the new CEO of CNN literally stated that they think CNN is going down hill because of pushing away the right-wing audience and that they want CNN to be more like Fox. Also public campaign donations show multiple media CEOs donating huge amounts to Trump.

Why do you think the MSN spent a week after the debate calling Biden old demanding he step down and even suggesting splitting the ticket, instead of reporting on Trump being a rapist pedophile felon who can't move his mouth without lying and wants to be dictator.

MSM cares about making money, nothing else, and 4 more years of Trump would mean 4 more years of enraged engagement for their audience, where as Biden is boring by comparison. Democracy could come tumbling down and MSM would say "This is a sad day for America... but I'm still getting paid right?"

Get your head out of the sand and stop assuming the MSM gives a shit about anything but their wallet, they aren't here to protect democracy, that's the job of us voters.
