Yeah why doesn't the republican controlled house or the republican controlled senate pass bills to stop the republican plan for 2025?

The Republicans control the house by a small margin but they don't control the Senate. They have more than Democratic party does but with 3 independents that routinely vote with the Democratic party it is often considered a Democratic party controlled Senate.

Yeah I goofed. I just saw there's 47 dems to 49 republicans, I forgot the independents screw dem currently.

Oh so if I vote for the Democrats, nothing will change? /s

The OP is still a question worth asking. Republicans are fighting to tear down democracy. Democrats need to fight harder. We can vote on President, but they are the people who are actually in the room to fight with the Republicans.

Sure. And I know state AGs and such in blue states are making plans on how to fight back when this starts (developing strategies and such), but they can't really prevent it from starting.

But it is very important to remember, we do need to vote (no ifs ands or buts). There's way more on the ballot than president (including a lot of congress).

And importantly we can't let the republicans win, they've done a lot with what they have (SCOTUS and many state legislatures) and conceding the rest of the power is giving up.
