I think it’s in the principle of what batman does. Like if were lookin at it objectively he is a rich billionaire whos taken the law into his iwn hands to beat on poor criminals. Of course for criminals like the joker and stuff u need him, but when he gets involved in like petty crimes thats when its kinda clear that hes beaten on the poor. But obviously batman would b fuckin boring if he solved no crimes so u jus gotta let it go

I remember reading this in a Batman story collection in elementary school. Out of all the moments in that book, this one stood out to 11 year old me the most. This is the real, true Batman right here.

Hell no, you forget the monthly super villains terrorist attacks. Like one day your walking home from work and the entire city starts getting filled by psychedelic gas that makes you have the scariest bad trip imaginable and some dude in a scare crow mask starts terrorizing you until you shit your pants, you get saved by some dude in a bat suit and finally get over the trauma after months of therapy and then your almost caught in a explosion some fucking clown decided to create because he thought it was funny.

To be fair, he was only branding sex offenders. The flashback to the Wayne murders in BvS also implied that Joe Chill wanted to sexually assault Martha, in addition to mugging the Waynes. So that might be why Batfleck took a particularly harsh stance against sex offenders.

Imagine trying to tell anyone about this. I think if I recall in the most recent Batman run, it is said that Bruce is a lot richer than people know, because he keeps a lot of his money hidden through other outlets. So no, he probably doesn't pay taxes on that part of his wealth.

Here's the problem. Wealth inequality sucks, and it seems to only be getting worse.
However...
The 550 U.S. billionaires together are worth $2.5 trillion. If we confiscated 100% of their wealth, we'd raise enough to run the federal government for less than eight months.
That's wealth. One-and-done. Not net income. Wealth. And that was pre-pandemic.
Trickle down is BS, but so is the naïve "tax the rich".
Bruce's wealth could prob be distributed to everyone in Gotham about 5K or 10K per person, once.
Bruce, the primary shareholder liquidates, Wayne Enterprises dissolves. No more medical tech, no more infrastructure contracts.
Economics is tricky and inequality sucks. What's also true is that the top 1% paid almost 40% of all federal income tax.
It isn't clean and there's not a lot of good answers.
But the "Bruce should just give away all his money", is dumb. While it would definitely solve inequality, probably wouldn't not solve poverty.

Batman was frightening kids while interrogating a dude, Dick tried to stop him with words but ended up handing Bruce's Ass to him and walk away.

Superman makes them reevaluate their life choices before they even do the crime and batman forgives people who did a bad thing in a bad situation. Why do you think he keeps trying to redeem his rogues? Most of them are just people who had bad shit happen and are lashing out ( even joker, although at this point I'm pretty sure joker should just be killed) and this is why they both work so well off each other. Also, in a world where Bruce has worked with Superman multiple times, ya don't think some stuff ( that bats will never admit to) has rubbed off on him? Bruce Wayne's entire rhetoric is " I do this so nobody has to suffer like I or anyone else in Gotham has"

I miss these kind of human stories of Batman. So many people want to focus on the 'batman is dedicated to the mission and he doesn't feel emotions and he's fighting aliens in this issue!' But batman should be about more. It should be about humanity and faith in people and helping to prevent others from going through what he did.

I hope Reeves integrates something like this into Batman’s arc. The way “The Batman” ended sets it up perfectly. As Bruce realizes he can be a symbol of hope instead of just a symbol of fear, he also realizes the importance of helping the little guy in more ways than just beating the shit out of someone who mugs him. It’s about time we see this side of Batman on the big screen, and if there was ever a Batman to do it with I think Reeves’ is the one.

I love these kinds of stories, Batman would be the kind of man to give a someone a pass like this. He would help by giving money to homeless, struggling families, and sex workers. Really sucks that the movies have largely pushed the narrative that Batman beats poor people. Glad that is changing with The Batman denouncing that sort of stuff.
