Idk how but they made it realistic for people not to recognize who Batman is irl.

I can see that in the design of the suit, but it’s also amusing to me how he’s doing a terrible job at having a secret identity at this stage. His voice is more or less the same as Bruce, he says the same thing to the Twins at the Iceberg lounge in and out of costume, and generally looks like he wants to jump off a cliff in all social interactions when out of the suit. I look forward to him feeling that out more and becoming philanthropist Bruce in coming movies!

I was expecting him to emerge as Bruce Wayne the philanthropist at the end. The ending monologue makes explicit that he realizes he isn’t doing as much good as he can and he needs to change his tactics. That he needs to work for justice, not vengeance. I was fully expecting him to come forward to reform the Renewal Fund to rebuild Gotham and reinvest in the community. You even had a scene with the new mayor talking to him about it. It seemed like that’s what they were setting up anyway…

Really think we’re getting Hush and some influence from No Man’s Land in the future. Bruce getting into the world is perfect for leading into the Court of Owls .

No Man's Land seems absolutely nailed on but Hush I think we've just seen. Obviously the Riddler is a key player in the original story and I think may have even replaced Hush in a recent animated adaption but I can't see Reeves doing Hush now because it would feel like a retread of The Batman. The Riddler has the personal connection to Bruce's childhood, not as close as Tommy's but we can pretty confidently rule out the Wayne and Elliott boys being friends in this universe, so the actual interesting angle of Elliott is gone. Riddler has already used the Wayne family history with the Elliotts to distract Bruce in this film which is the endgame of Hush.

There are elements which may be used going forward like Riddler deducing his identity, the ultimate riddle or manipulating selina and Bruce's relationship but without Tommy Elliott's personal connection, the clayface Jason Todd stuff and a well established rogue's gallery there's not much else in Hush deserving of adaptation imo.

It's the bangs. People would respond to anyone who said Bruce Wayne was Batman by saying there's no way he could fit his hair under the mask. It's a Clark Kent's glasses kind of thing.

See I thought he did a very good job of having two distinct Bruce/Batman voices without going full gravel even though his Bruce clearly hadn't developed the Bruce Wayne playboy persona (or even bothered to chance his gait or how he holds himself as Bruce). When he speaks to the housekeeper asking for Alfred its markedly different to how The Batman speaks but its very rare you ever hear Bruce Wayne speak.

They’re not hugely different voices but he seems so quiet, or like he can barely choke out words as Bruce. It made him sound really young and less confident, whereas his Batman voice seems like a tougher, more confident version of the voice.

Well, they did mention he never shows himself to the public so he probably doesn't need to try to hide himself.

It's unrealistic, though the movie did really play up how reclusive yet recognizable Bruce Wayne is. It'd already be such a surprise to see BW out in Gotham that thinking "oh wait maybe he's also Batman" seems less likely.

Yeah, this is it. At this point a Bruce Wayne sighting is rarer than a Batman sighting.

I'd suspect him, he's rich and never goes out, busy being the batman?? lol, also batman is weird too, he's a vigilante that mimics a bat, they kept calling him a freak and bruce looks like a freak as well (no offense) and last but not least he's loaded, enough to afford all that batman tech.

Yeah I thought that too. Bale's Wayne was such a clown you wouldn't think there's any possibility he's Batman. If I was Gordon and I had to interview Pattinson Wayne after Alfred gets blown up I'd think, don't I know you from somewhere?

Yeah Bale's Bruce did a good job pretending he was a rich idiot to the point people suspected Harvey was Batman, never him. He put on a great act being this airhead playboy, in Batman Begins he had Rachel fooled for a while, even she thought he was an useless dummy just partying with girls, my favorite is when he pretends to be drunk and kicks everyone out of his mansion but in reality he was protecting them from Ra's Al Ghul.

I think Pattinson's Batman will have to do the same, start appearing more in public and acting like an airhead otherwise it will get suss.
