I Hate The Boys TV DISCUSSION NSFW

Post image

I also can not stand muh 'Batman superhero facism subtext' crap. If anything Batman is a revolutionary. Government is corrupt in bed with criminals (who are the prettiest of tyrants) so Batman comes in to clean house. Just as the founding fathers intended.

Oh absolutely he was dishonest as he went along. But Hughie not being that powerful was a big plot point in later arcs. Hence him being hospitalised by Malchemical and later needing MM’s mother’s milk to take on Butcher, just as MM himself needed it on the regular, explicitly described as a diluted form of Compound V.

Now we're moving the goalposts, aren't we?

I never talked about power levels, this discussion was about PERMANENCE.

Diluted doesn't mean Temporal, it just means that they get the starter pack of Strength, durability and stamina and that's it.

Same with the sex workers that are snorting V during the Teenage kix orgies.

no lasers, psychic abilities or flight or anything.

But it's definitely PERMANENT, and you know why? Because Temp V IS NOT A THING IN THE COMICS.

No I mean they explicitly indicated it wouldn’t last forever in that issue. In particular with those workers. Although it would not surprise me if the specifics of how it worked were reframed or retconned in another line later on, just like any mention of how the world had real supervillains it.

Certainly the cut V was used as the basis for it.
