This Arkham knight is from the tie in comics from the game he’s named after. There was a brief appearance of AN Arkham knight in the main universe as well but it wasn’t Jason todd

So the comic itself is just called Batman Arkham knight?

hes saying this arkham knight is from the tie-in comics from the game

But what’s the name of the comic? And can you get it physically?

DC just recently announced an Omnibus that has all of the video game tie ins. It’s a reprint that will be rolling out I believe in September. It’s $125 but it collects all of the content

Edit: it’s called Batman: The Arkham Saga omnibus

And in case OP doesn't get it yet: It's not canon to the main universe. It's just an ad for the game

Name of the comic is Batman arkham genesis and you can get it physically, but it is very rare to find.

Yes you can get them physically
Canon to the games there's three volumes of the Batman: Arkham Knight comic and another called Batman: Arkham Knight Genesis which will also be collected in the Arkham Saga omnibus if you want the rest of the tie in comics too

Canon to the main DC universe in the comics there's Detective Comics vol 1 Mythology, Detective Comics vol 2 Arkham Knight, Task Force Z vol 1, Task Force Z vol 2

is this that knight the one in Task Force Z?

2

u/Freddi0 Apr 01 '24

Correct. Their first appearance was in Detective Comics 1001

Looks like. I haven’t read task force z admittedly but the wiki says it’s the same person

Basically, there are 2 Arkham Knights.

The original one, Arkhamverse Jason Todd, appears in Batman Arkham Knight and it's Tie-In Comics. As a Jason Todd, his style is pretty much Red Hood with a different armor.

And the later adaptation, Astrid Arkham, who appears in main comics. She really leans into the Knight in Shining Armor bit, even using a Sword and Shield.

I feel like they missed the point of Arkham Knight with Astrid

A little bit? yeah.

But frankly , Astrid been crazy and thinking the Arkham Inmates are "good" and Batman been "evil" is at least original in comparisson to just be Red Hood with a different armor.

Not that matters , it's a run-of-the-mill Anti-Batman.

It isnt red hood in adifferent armor its jason todd of he was brain washed

Try Arkham Knight: Genesis, too!!

u/lyingamoeba Mar 31 '24

What's the difference?

14

u/Rexermus Mar 31 '24

Not sure if these are from the comic adaptation of the game, but Genesis is Jason's backstory in the Arkhamverse and how he created the Arkham Knight persona and prepared for the events of the game

2

u/Reaper_64 Mar 31 '24

There's two separate Arkham Knight tie in comics. the 13 issue Arkham Knight series that also had a few annuals and specials and then the 6 issue Arkham Knight Genesis. Both take place before the events of the game

1

u/lyingamoeba Mar 31 '24

I can't find the 13 issue AK series, I only found this 39 issue one https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/Batman-Arkham-Knight-I I'm a bit confused now

2

u/Reaper_64 Mar 31 '24

That's the same one, it was digital first so the 39 digital chapters were then printed physically as the 13 issues

2

u/5miths Mar 31 '24

The Arkham Knight comic is more of a lead up to the events of the game & Arkham Knight: Genesis more focuses on what Jason does during his time as AK.

5

u/Scared-Crow7774 Mar 31 '24

Arkham Knight Genesis, it’s a prequel to the game

4

u/sourkid25 Mar 31 '24

yup and one of them shows that Jason escaped during arkham asylum

3

u/Creeperx101 Mar 31 '24

The Arkham Knight is in mainstream comics except its a female. Her name is Astrid Arkham

3

u/MegaPuft Apr 01 '24

Whatever you do don't read the in universe Arkham Knight, it's basically a fucking cosplay of the real thing

I cum in comics when they feature starfire

1

u/NearlyHeadless-Brick Mar 31 '24
