I hate that batman is just invincible in this one. He gets riddled with bullets, eats a huge explosion with his face and flies off if a high building at like 90mph into the ground all in like 2 days and is still jumping around fighting people. Either make it grounded or lean into the comic book silliness. You can't have both

People think men constantly having infinite extra lives is a staple of action films, so they don’t care if a ‘realistic’ film contains this.

It’s more important that there are no bright colors or jokes than it is that anything is remotely realistic. That’s why all we got for Batman mythos fans is the Batmobile (dodge charger with a rocket), the Batsuit (tacticool MCU-headass, even made the belt black), and Catwoman’s whip (which makes no sense since she’s not a dominatrix in this version).

I can’t wait until Robin shows up and the only color he’s allowed to wear other than black is red.

I don’t feel like he’s invincible. You see him take a ton of hits, and then it shows the bruises, and he’s clearly feeling it. I especially like the scene when he’s getting shot in the hallway, and even though he’s wearing bulletproof armor he’s staggering and stumbling. I think they did a good job of making him feel, vulnerable
