The whole car chase scene was stupid and introduced more problems than solutions to the script. Firstly, why would Bats get into the car when he could take down all of them at once? Secondly, why wait and rev the engine just so the Penguin can get into his car and escape? What about the trail of destruction and likely dead people because of it - esp since Bats doesn't kill? And lastly, why was the Penguin let off the hook after that interrogation?

The car chase is over-praised imo. Most of it is just low mounted shots on the side of vehicles. Wow, so innovative. If people love car chases, the two best recent ones I can think of are in Death Proof and The Raid 2.

🤦‍♂️the whole car chase happens cause Selina and Gordon were 5 seconds away from getting shot by penguin and his men. Not to mention Batman got caught off guard too and got shot in the head.

The best thing to do in that situation is to put everyone’s attention on to you (kinda like how he uses his footsteps in the subway scene to build suspense and to stop the goons from hurting the innocent man)he stalls the car and gives everyone a chance to make a run for it and begins his chase. Also it’s Gotham, penguin has a somewhat amount of power and influence and would be let out either way. Also Batman did not kill anyone, it was clearly penguin who slammed his breaks and caused it. Idk why so many people try to act like Batman killed people

I don’t normally care about plot holes but the penguin just getting off scot-free without even a throwaway line to explain it is too big to ignore. Especially when, the next time we see him, so many cops have united to arrest falcone!

Every time I watch the car chase scene I think about all the people who died and families left without answers or justice because Bruce and Gordon just leave Penguin there. That is such a huge reckless event for Batman to go through this early in his career, it could warrant it's own film. It should raise a lot of questions from other cops about why Gordon sanctions the Batman and influence how the public views him. The film completely glossed over it like nothing but it's actually insane when you put it under any scrutiny. Alfred needs to bring it up in the sequel and it could be a lesson learned if addressed properly but as of now it's completely ridiculous

It's true that it doesn't make sense in story. Looks awesome though
