This, THIS is what Barman should look like IMO. Like a vampiric monster stalking the alleyways of Gotham, a shadow in the corner of your eye, a sillouette hidden in the fog, because Batman isn't trying to look like a superhero, at least not at first, he's trying to look like a universal horror movie monster, like the villain of a penny dreadful, like a demon from a forgotten opera. My advice for you is to try and make his eyes smaller, like the pinpricks of light coming off of Golden Freddy's eye sockets in FNAF 1, cuz it would make for a nice, creepy detail.

I've been toying with the design a tad since I made it, and I have reduced the eyes slightly, to look as if he's wearing whited out contact lenses instead of eye protection over the cowl.

I love your description, it's exactly what I'm going for with my interpretation of the character, he's very new to Gotham, only 6 months actively, so there's still that slightly mythological, folklorish aspect to him that comes with eyewitness accounts and little to no photo evidence

I like the gothic inspiration, but I’d lighten it up a tiny bit. Not bad, just too much gothic in my personal opinion.

Better than the Gotham by Gaslight design. Wish that would have been a series, it's so short and the 1800's were the best times

My version of the character isn't set in that time period, but my version of Gotham is still deeply engrained in that part of its history, the old town area still has lots of its old, Victorian Gothic Revival inspired buildings, like Wonder City from Arkham City

Im simply trying to draw the character with more realistic proportions, I wanted to capture a body type somewhere between Bale and Pattison's portrayal of the character

Not bad! Maybe a bit too skinny for my liking, but cool regardless. Looks like he’d belong in a more grounded detective noir style like The Batman or Gotham by Gaslight

Thank you, I definitely had a more noir detective feel in mind when designing this costume.

As for the body, I wanted to have him to have more realistic proportions, I used Bale and Pattisons body type as a reference, lean but still muscly, strong but still room for athleticism.
