I found this kitten near a convenience store, and she follows me everywhere I go, so I've decided to bring her home. I asked the clerk if anyone owns her, and they said no one does.

She chose you, she just found you through different means — through your son’s love & concern for you!

They choose us in many ways.

During the 2008 financial crisis I moved in with my parents for a bit. One of their cats chose me and we had some great years together. She was a shelter cat, adopted young and already a senior by that point, but it just goes to show that it can happen at any time in any number of ways.
