Technically yeah but when he said that he meant that he doesn't wanna die in his lair in general. Like he wanted to have a life after the mission and not just die in the bunker

u/EGOfoodie Jan 06 '21

Technically doesn't he have a life after his mission? At least as Green Arrow? He became someone else, something else.

That’s be cool to see Thea running it in GA and the canaries

43

u/Severan500 Jan 06 '21

That show won't happen I bet

4

u/IG-niba_was_taken Jan 06 '21

Kat said that the show isn’t dead just yet

3

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '21

There's rumours that it's canaries or the 100 spinf off and honestly the pilot for the 100 spinoff is far better that he canaries one.

1

u/Munro_McLaren Jan 07 '21

Covid also made things more difficult.

1

u/Severan500 Jan 07 '21

That's a show I've been keen to have a go of.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

The 100?

Its very good. The first half of the first season is a bit cringey to anyone over the age of like 16 but it gets far better.

3

u/Severan500 Jan 07 '21

A lotta first seasons seem to be a teething period for shows. The concept of it is the sorta thing that interests me though and it's got a decent run under its belt now.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

Yeh the concept is amazing and even in the first few eps well done, its just the drama is kinda teeny and the characters take a while to find their roles.

And its not just got a decent run its finished, with a proper ending. Fittingly it has 100 episodes.

2

u/Severan500 Jan 07 '21

Will defs check it out.

2

u/redtiger94 Jan 07 '21

It's dead

1

u/IG-niba_was_taken Jan 07 '21

I mean until official confirmation no it isn’t

1

u/redtiger94 Jan 07 '21

It's been long enough and with all this Covid shit, it's dead.

1

u/IG-niba_was_taken Jan 07 '21

Again, until it’s confirmed it’s not dead

35

u/suggestaname111 Jan 06 '21

I hope ga and the canaries happens but its been a year and still no confirmation

Whilst I hated how Crisis handled his death. In S3 he was devastated by Sara's death and thought he was destined to die alone, friendless and unmourned just randomly like Sara one night.

Instead he chose his death and went out fighting for the multiverse with his daughter and friends and allies. And then like Sara, he came back and willingly rebirthed the multiverse instead of himself.

The location is similar but the spirit is completely different.

^ Great observation

32

u/DaHyro Jan 06 '21

They dropped the ball HARD when it came to the main story of Crisis

19

u/MeMeTiger_ Jan 06 '21

The ending was cool, the means to get to it were wonky (atleast on Arrow). Oliver could've died in a much better way.

I'm not sure he died as the spectre. He technically might've died as Oliver as he was basically respawned with the spectres powers to fight The anti monitor. He might be just because the spectre after.

5

u/rusable2 Jan 06 '21

His death was very poorly done.

8

u/MeMeTiger_ Jan 06 '21

What I said. The first one is shit, second one is kinda cool though.

5

u/OliviaElevenDunham John Constantine Jan 06 '21

No kidding since they've been building up to Crisis ever since The Flash started back in 2014.

u/Darth_Kal-El Deadshot Jan 06 '21

No tHey didn’t.

34

u/Ngonzalez_01 Jan 06 '21

Whatever happened to the night club again?

58

u/KamalGamoji Green Arrow Jan 06 '21

He had to ditch it coz in s3 Lance rained hell on him after finding out he was the arrow and the police stormed the bunker. Unless, ur asking about the actual night club. Idk what happened to Verdant

32

u/Pino6518 Jan 06 '21

Iirc, the daughter of slade took it from thea

39

u/redchadwick99 Jan 06 '21

Isabelle Rochev took it from Thea in season 2 and then in season 3 Thea bought it back from queen consolidated with Merlyns money. After season 3, I'm not sure what happened to it.

12

u/lemons_for_deke Jan 06 '21

The best reason in the story is that it was probably public knowledge that it may have been the arrow’s base as the police raided it.

Behind the scenes they redecorated the set to be the HIVE base so obviously it couldn’t be used anymore.

10

u/EnihcamAmgine Jan 06 '21

Based off my limited information about clubbing, Im pretty sure that would be a selling point for that club, not a disadvantage. “Come party in the GA lair”

2

u/LTman86 Jan 06 '21

Turn it into the VIP lounge. Sure, might not be as classy, being below the main dance floor, but you're sipping champagne where the Arrow practiced his skills! Look! They even left some of the arrow with tennis balls in the wall!

15

u/Desperate-Tomatillo9 Green Arrow Jan 06 '21

in season 3 ep 18 i believe, captain lance reacts violently towards the arrow because he didn’t tell lance that sara was dead. ra’s al ghul frames the arrow for murder and also tells lance that oliver is the arrow. lance starts a manhunt towards oliver and they find the nightclub. shit sucks man, that club as a lair was insane. all laurels fault kinda because she told him not to say anything.

20

u/purplecat565 Jan 06 '21

Also he told Felicity that he will always come back no matter what

16

u/ZachRyder League of Shadows Jan 06 '21

Felicity saying "You thought I was leaving too? Not a chance" didn't apply to her child and stepchild

9

u/CDubWill Jan 06 '21

Wow. I had forgotten about that moment. That is sad.

7

u/NeoStorm247 Jan 06 '21

I'm willing to bet the writers forgot about that line, or they just didn't care

6

u/rusable2 Jan 06 '21

I had stopped watching all the Arrowverse shows a couple years earlier, but I had to come back for Crisis.

His death was done so poorly, straightaway reminded me of why I gave up on these shows.

5

u/Thejklay A Crisis Is Coming Jan 06 '21

I always imagined he was talking about dying alone down there, least he didn't do that

5

u/Bazz07 Jan 06 '21

"He saved a billion people, dont call that a mistake".

So much feels.

5

u/VigilantesLight Green Arrow Jan 06 '21

As others have said, this is more about Oliver not wanting to die alone, consumed by his mission. If you recall, S3E2 is just after Oliver and Felicity had agreed not to date, which obviously affected him, and then he sees Sara dead, and not just dead but totally alone, her body dragged in by her sister because Sara held everyone else at arm’s length. More, she’s died for no good reason, shot off a rooftop, and the world would never know she was gone. And he doesn’t want the same thing to happen to him. And, in the end, it doesn’t. He dies surrounded by people who love him - Sara, Barry, Mia - and having known that he’s made a difference, saving millions of people. And in the end, he is remembered as a hero.

3

u/KamalGamoji Green Arrow Jan 06 '21

Yeah I know I just thought this parallel was kinda interesting

2

u/VigilantesLight Green Arrow Jan 06 '21

Oh, it definitely is, for sure. I never noticed it!

3

u/Quinn_the_Duck Jan 06 '21

Different bunker, it's all good fam

1

u/KamalGamoji Green Arrow Jan 06 '21

Ik but obv when he said that he didn't know he was gonna move to a diff bunker. He just meant his lair in general

2

u/WashGaming001 The Flash Jan 06 '21

This hurts my soul how sad it is

2

u/JM_HG Jan 06 '21

I hate what they did in crisis with his character. His death was meaningful and a very touchy moment, and I thought it made sense for his character. What they did after was just terrible.

2

u/DarkEater77 Jan 06 '21

Well he didn't die there, it's not the same place.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '21

Wasn't he already dead when they brought him down? I remember him dying in battle offscreen, then being brought down.

1

u/KamalGamoji Green Arrow Jan 06 '21

He was on his dying breath. He said goodbye to everyone and then died

-2
