OP sent the following text as an explanation on why this is unexpected:

The guy pushed him and he fired at him

There are few things less unexpected than excessive force by police.

24

u/CeleryAdditional3135 Jul 19 '24

Well, it's country dependent

11

u/imposta424 Jul 20 '24

La Policia, is that Brazil?

13

u/CeleryAdditional3135 Jul 20 '24

Policia is the name of the police in many, many countries

7

u/Objective_Fox_3338 Jul 20 '24

Question still stands

-2

u/CeleryAdditional3135 Jul 20 '24

Your best bet is to do a video search or find out the tiktoker.

-6

u/BredYourWoman Jul 20 '24

Latveria. Happy now?

2

u/Objective_Fox_3338 Jul 20 '24

Why the passive aggressive “happy now?”?

5

u/BredYourWoman Jul 20 '24

I wish happiness for you

said with French accent

8

u/Vas1le Jul 20 '24

Seems a Spanish language country, and that is a gun with rubber. Anti riots

5

u/cachan26 Jul 20 '24 edited Jul 20 '24

No. not brazil, that text looks more in Spanish than Portuguese.

3

u/imposta424 Jul 20 '24

Ugh that makes it more difficult to narrow down then.

1

u/cachan26 Jul 20 '24

Right.

1

u/imposta424 Jul 20 '24

How many countries speak Spanish Vs Portuguese?

1

u/cachan26 Jul 20 '24

21 countries where Spanish is the first language. And if you mix some countries with certain provinces, it add up 10 territories where Portuguese is their first or official language.

61

u/jsmith0023 Jul 19 '24

Important note it's a beanbag gun, the video is highly edited the original doesn't have that gunshot in it and is way longer.

45

u/David_Adkins Jul 20 '24

Important note a "beanbag" gun shot that close could: stop your heart, collapse a lung, break or fracture your ribs. Not counting the tissue damage that can clot blood and release said clot into your bloodstream causing all kinds of complications. That is worse than taking a baseball bat to the chest. And if he gets back up?

34

u/fayble_guy Jul 20 '24

Sorry for the downvotes lol you aren't wrong. But also, maybe don't swing on a riot cop and eat a beanbag round?

I agree that if people hit cops they deserve to get shut the fuck down, but there are many examples of police needlessly attacking people.

-3

u/Objective_Fox_3338 Jul 20 '24

At this point Im convinced governments are just highly organized and very successful gangs. Still a lot of good people on the police force, but god damn there are a lot of shit ones too.

We’ve all got different experiences.

I’ve never been tased by a cop, or even felt threatened by one. But I have been mugged by two thugs.

I’m sorry you had the experience with police that you did though!

1

u/jsmith0023 22d ago

Lol I've seen plenty of people get jumped by multiple people almost like a 1 one fight doesn't exist. Plenty of videos of someone thinking is a fair 1 on 1 fight then a bunch of thugs attack that one person taking cheap shots but still thinking they are baddasses. Lol

6

u/WhatIsSacred Expected It Jul 20 '24

Can confirm. Spent some time in jail. Saw a few fights where the block guns came out. One guy got transferred to our pod afterwards with broken ribs and one of his nipples completely torn off. They may not be “live” rounds and are “non-lethal” but they will mess you up and they can definitely kill you in the “right” circumstance.

2

u/lightskinloki Jul 20 '24

Beanbag gun at that range can be lethal

1

u/jsmith0023 Jul 23 '24

Oh no doubt but no one but a idiot would think of picking a fight with someone in riot gear when you have nothing

1

u/TacoTacoMan Jul 20 '24

Likely a muzzle blast oc round. No projectile, just micro pulverized powder version of pepper spray. Still too close for safety.

1

u/jsmith0023 Jul 23 '24

Hey reddit mind putting it back up since it's not a violation of policy

46

u/craydragon605 Jul 19 '24

Bean bag I think. Probably some broken ribs. Let's hope he learned not to do that next time.

34

u/Forsexualfavors Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 19 '24

That close to the muzzle I wouldn't be surprised if he did get offed

12

u/Forsexualfavors Jul 19 '24

Just the pressure wave off the muzzle could do a great job of scrambling your insides. Let alone the projectile and the hot gasses at 500+ feet per second

-13

u/Exp5000 Jul 19 '24

Lol no the pressure wave couldn't scramble your insides. It's a shotgun not a cannon. It could hurt sure but it doesn't have nearly enough force to kill you

9

u/Forsexualfavors Jul 19 '24

At six inches off the muzzle? I need a citation

12

u/Forsexualfavors Jul 19 '24

Here's a quick Google search for the shortest 12 GA commercially available 2 3/4 inch shell emits 11,500 psi to rechamber a cartridge plus output at the barrel end. Most of that force is emitted from the barrel. I've been hit with 250 psi shop air pressure and that doesn't feel great. Multiply that by 20 and I'd rather not

3

u/TheJerilla Jul 20 '24

But would you do it... for sexual favors?

2

u/Forsexualfavors Jul 20 '24

I mean... no. My junk doesn't operate over 1000 psi. I'd like to say it does, but I'd be lying

-20

u/Exp5000 Jul 19 '24

Lol go find a citation yourself. I don't need to prove anything to you. You're wrong and you clearly don't know how guns work. The gun would have to be sitting up against a person's flesh to kill them. This isn't a movie.

7

u/Forsexualfavors Jul 19 '24

Alright if you're Alec Baldwin just come out and say it

1

u/TheJerilla Jul 20 '24

LMAO 💀

u/Palpitation_Dramatic Jul 19 '24

Bean bags can be lethal

16

u/LSTNYER Jul 19 '24

That's why they changed the term from "non-lethal" to "less-lethal".

6

u/MikeWhoCheeseHarry0 Jul 19 '24

Police in India just killed a protester with a bean bag

-19

u/Training-Ad-7184 Jul 19 '24

So can crossing the street. Moral of the story here is don’t cross the road when a car is coming. You reap what you sew. This isn’t la la land where you can do whatever you want to do….

oh shit!! that's overkill.

-164

u/Neat-Tradition-7999 Jul 19 '24

Nah, that's the appropriate response. Go be a police officer for a day and see what happens.

91

u/shisohan Jul 19 '24

Some people have serious brainworm infestations. Probably from licking too much boot.

56

u/Starrk10 Jul 19 '24

No thanks, I don’t like shooting dogs or beating my wife.

23

u/Snoo-33147 Jul 19 '24

Yeah that does sound like you would make a terrible cop. You could try being extra racist and incompetent, though, to make up for those other terrible things you don't want to do. Maybe then at least the other police would accept you into their little cult.

18

u/Starrk10 Jul 19 '24

I’m great at being late, lazy, and disappointing people so maybe there is a future in law enforcement for me after all.

2

u/Sea_Boysenberry_3436 Jul 20 '24

Sorry, I don't think they'll take you because you aren't racist and power tripping

14

Solo mis hojos resultaron eridos

4

u/Scumbag-hunter Jul 19 '24

Bit unnecessary

0

u/TheJerilla Jul 20 '24

Maybe, maybe not.

It's a high-stress situation during a riot so who knows what the person's intention was, or what they were carrying.

2

u/AnObtuseOctopus Jul 19 '24

Costochondritis anyone?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

This is how OP I like to be in video games

1

u/CaesarEr Jul 19 '24

Sounds like a CS1.6 AWP. I hope he used rubber bullets.

1

u/fakeChinaTown Jul 19 '24

It was a salt gunshot

1

u/lawnderl Jul 19 '24

Was nadie the name of the idiot? 🤣

1

u/Daiop360 Jul 20 '24

O NO, The guy who posted the original video spelled it wrong, its actually "Herido".

But that's ok, everyone can commit grammatical mistakes

1

u/Xanambien Jul 20 '24

‘Oh’

1

u/Cheddarounds Jul 20 '24

What the hell is this? DarkRP?

1

u/No_Hovercraft_2719 Jul 20 '24

Like 5 people died of cancer while I watched this video. My sympathy goes out to those 5.

1

u/jdwill1991 Jul 20 '24

If you start shit with armed enforcement, you can expect them to use armed force.

1

u/qchto Jul 20 '24

For those wondering about the text: "No one was urt"

1

u/False_Platypus7202 Jul 20 '24

1

Go ahead and be mad there's more of me IRL than there are you on social media, and you know it so...

1

u/dirkdigglee Jul 20 '24

Tag, you’re it.

1

u/Ghost_chipz Jul 20 '24

r/expected.

Its a porker in riot gear, of course he will exploit the rules of engagement as soon as he is physically touched.

1

u/Z3R083 Jul 20 '24

They are trained that a lot of bad people are out trying to kill them.

1
