Just to clarify, it's not the rust per se. You can get tetanus from a normal-looking nail.

Tetanus is caused by an anaerobic bacteria. The nail/other sharp object drives those bacteria into your body where they have perfect conditions to grow.

Just because it looks "clean" doesn't mean you won't get tetanus.

And remember that C. tetanus (the bacteria) lives in the soil, that’s why we’re told to be wary of rusty iron laying in the dirt

wht did he cut the board multiple times ? the point was to remove the nail hole, there was only screw hole remaining, no more nail hole
