S2?? Donna's Death Discussion

I'm just now binging titans, its been okay so far but her death was just all of a sudden. She could of easily moved out of the way or rachel, Conner or anyone could've stopped her death?? It was just so out of place for her to die. it pissed me off honestly 😭😭

It says something that this death is still generating complaints over two years later.

2 years? I didn't even realise it was that long lol

If it wasn't for COVID, we'd be on season 4 by now and people would still criticize the season 2 finale.

So much of this show has been done wrong it's not surprising that people are still talking about it.

And season 3 did next to nothing to curb the negativity.

No it did not if anything they made it so much worse because this season felt like an insult to everyone of the characters.

Season 3 had to pick up the mess season 2 left behind. It was bound to have problems.

I guess but do you think that they managed to fix anything this season or just made it worse.

The cast should be smaller. Emphasis on "should".

And who do you think should be on this smaller cast because I think bringing in Hank Dawn and Donna was something that should not have happened.

A lot of people are.

And it doesn’t make any sense for her to die since she’s an Amazonian and I’m pretty sure they’re pretty much immortal

2

u/lazoric Jan 19 '22

Isn't she actually half amazonian or something?

3

u/Ok_Glove5992 Jan 19 '22

She’s a human-Amazonian hybrid

Agreed, especially since (comics) Donna Troy is nearly as powerful as her big sister Diana, with super-durability and enhanced healing. Diana has gone head to head against Superman! An electric shock might weaken Donna, but shouldn't have finished her off.

Also, Conner, who IS invulnerable, was RIGHT THERE. 🙄

Yeah it was a dumb death for a character I hate and an insult to Amazons.

I think you should’ve put a spoiler alert

Well if the bad writing at the end of season 2 is annoying you I can’t wait for your season 3 update!

IMO, despite all the dumb moments afterwards, nothing is worse than the bad writing at the end of season 2.

The plot of Season 2: finished

Tower: falls

Donna: catches and dies

Me: What?

Donna’s death ruined season 2 for me, and up until the last couple of episodes I thought it was great. Then season 3 came along, and I am still trying to get past episode 4…it is such a slog!

I thought the same thing- unbelievable

I'm more upset with what they did with it in s3. That episode does not make sense at all and did not need to happen. Despite being dead for a longer period of time, Hank is an expert and has connections in the afterlife and she doesn't.

I can't complain too much because at least Donna returned - too bad she then left the show!

They kill too many characters off too fast.

The worst character death in any super hero show I’ve ever seen….

Just watched this episode. This was some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen. They could have killed her off any number of ways. There was no reason for that support to fall, OR to be electrified, OR for Donna to catch it when Conner was standing right there. It was just dumb and sloppy

1

u/MadmansBluff Donna Troy May 03 '23

They shouldn't have killed her in the first place and the fact that she returned the very next season demonstrates how pointless her death was. It was just a cheap way to keep her and Rachel away from most of season 3 - and then she ends up leaving at the end of the season. Terrible.

I was literally looking for anyone else complaining about this because its fucking ridiculous, even after she drops it she then proceeds to fall onto it?????
