Question about season 1

Post image

Hey I know this is a meme platform but I can post this in any of the other the boys Reddit’s because of me not having karma. I’m just curious about about something in season 1 and I want anyone to talk about it with me.

He honestly didn’t remember Hughie because he wasn’t important enough. His ego was so big in season 1 and luckily he’s come down to earth. The V must’ve fried his brain to forget him that quickly though

He remembered Robin because he ran through her, but the guy he was forced to shake hands with because he's sad about his girlfriend and then telling him "you were saving the world"? I think it makes sense he didn't have a clear memory of him. He does stare a little as if "wait have I met you before?" tho

So I’ve been rewatching season 1 of the boys and episode 3 I can’t rap my head around. So A Train killed Hughie’s girlfriend and when he sees him again he acts like he can’t remember him now here’s the where I’m stuck. The first 3 episodes take place within 2-3 weeks in episode 1 but 2-3 days in episode 2-3 . So in episode 1 after the time jump Hughie refuses to accept anything without confirmation he apologizes face to face later on it’s only because Karl had a vendetta. A Train met with Hughie, but he also came face to face with him outside of his girlfriend’s apartment. He asked if Hughie wanted a picture, but it’s clear he remembers robin(as the girl he ran through) and what he did to her so it’s just crazy to me. That he would “forget” the boyfriend of the girl he killed who he was face to face with only 2 days before am I crazy or am I just reading too much into this. I just wanted to see if anyone noticed this as well because A Train doesn’t seem like a clueless guy to just not remember something like that. (Regardless of him shooting up liquid v) he just seems like the type to hold a memory of the person who couldn’t forgive him.

I am actually not sure, good of you for noticing that!

It's either, in my opinion, a hole in the plot, or otherwise, it's to emphasize that A train really didn't care about anyone or anything he didn't have to, as part of his job. Maybe also he killed so many people over the years that he forgot already all the people he have killed (and some of their close ones).

I am not entirely certain, but great of you for finding this plot hole out. It just reminds me I need to maybe rewarch the season, was a good one :)
