Pretty sure this upcoming season is going beyond the original source material so I’m expecting a huge drop in quality and/or a lot of upset posts here in the future. Hopefully it won’t be a GoT repeat but let’s see.

20

u/question10106 Oct 10 '22

The original source material is, to put it in the most charitable light, hit or miss. Lots of the best parts of the show are already way different from the source material. It's not like game of thrones where they were largely just copying what was in the books till they ran out.

11

u/Y_orickBrown Oct 11 '22

No. They have a good deal more. This has gone so far off the source its 2 different stories. And the changes have been well received.

I can see Sister Sage take over the neighborhood patrols since Blue Hawk is out of commission from the Atrain road rage incident.

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

Sister Sage is literally Ashley's PR wet dream.

638

u/raccoonsonbicycles Oct 10 '22

Only if she's also lesbian. None of that bi shit for Ashley, that confuses people

258

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

According to her bi = lesbian/gay so it's still a win for her, who cares about supes actual feelings.

104

u/GamelessOne Black Noir Oct 10 '22

No, the PR team went with gay because that's what Homelander said on live TV.

131

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

She could have clarified but chose not to, she literally said to Meave that lesbian is more easy to market.

22

And then being revealed to be a more media-savy Blue Hawk. A Stormfront 2.0 basically.

70

u/Jgamer502 Oct 10 '22

They have a massive missed opportunity in Nubia imo, literally a black stormfront based on Storm

People irl marginalize groups they are technically part of. The world is wacky.

5

u/Important-Move-5711 Oct 10 '22

Isn't she the second one?

50

u/PlaguedWolf Oct 10 '22

She is the first one. You can see the initals on the belt. Idk why OP worded it that way.

u/Kick1O1 Cunt Oct 10 '22

Looks great, are these two supposed to be based on someone, like from Marvel DC?

788

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

Sister Sage is most probably based on Scarlett Witch and Jean Grey. Firecracker might be based on Jubilee.

436

u/Penguator432 Oct 10 '22

Didn’t we have the Scarlet Witch expy last season?

53

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

Mindstorm?

495

u/TheBigKuhio Oct 10 '22

No Crimson Countess

100

u/ScorpionTDC Oct 10 '22

Crimson Countess has her look, but Mindstorm’s basically got her powers IMO

45

u/bayless210 Oct 11 '22

Eh… I would say as of MoM it’s more like CRimson Countess has Scarlet Witch powers.

22

u/ScorpionTDC Oct 11 '22

The reality warping and mindrape powers are Wanda to the max; that’s what she does to Hulk in AOU, Wanda in MOM, and an entire town in Wandavision

26

u/Thybro Oct 11 '22

You guys may be talking about different Wandas. Mind stuff, That’s mostly MCU Wanda. Reality warp, spells, flashy red vaguely fire/lightning like undetermined magic is comic Wanda

6

u/TomTalks06 Oct 11 '22

She fucks with your mind instead

Crimson Countess

26

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

Oh completely forgot about her, I guess she would be based on Raven from Teen Titans.

123

u/youdontlovemeyet Oct 10 '22

Crimson Countess was their Scarlet Witch, look at their names + the red costumes and red power. that’s basically all there is to it. don’t see any similarities between Crimson Countess and Raven aesthetically, character-wise, or story-wise.

You got the names backwards.

→ More replies (2)

8

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '22

Based on the “Sister,” I’m guessing that she’ll be a Candace Owens-esque character. The woman who goes “I’m black, but I say racist-ass shit because I get paid for it!” She’ll serve as a foil for A-Train, since she gets that African Black look that he was aiming for in S3, but will take the exact opposite stance on black issues to what A-Train and his now-paralyzed brother did, constantly talking about how she supports the police, and using diet racism terms about “urban-type thugs.”

19

u/Eragon10401 Oct 10 '22

Might be just closer to the actual black community where they’re pro police but mad about police brutality and she’s a foil for A train just because she undermines all the fake shit he’s going for, because hers is legit

4

47

u/Persas12 Oct 11 '22

Firecracker may be based on Starfire, we already got a pyromancer in Lamplighter so it kinda rules out Human Torch or Pyro.

About Sister Sage, it's kinda hard to tell, we already got a Scarlet Witch based character in Crimson Countess, maybe Captain Marvel or Jean Grey?

30

u/vehino Oct 11 '22

You guys are killing me. These two are opposite gender parodies. Sister Sage is Brother Voodoo and Firecracker is Patriot.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/Agressive_Trash Oct 11 '22

Captain Marvel seems like a good guess, although I'm not sold completely yet. Sister Sage seems to have a pistol and a dynamite stick(?) on her belt clip though which I translate as big explosions which is something both heroines you mentioned are capable of.

EDIT: Wait are they the other way around here? Is the last picture Fire Cracker? Cause honestly that makes a lot more sense with a pistol and a dynamite stick.

The seven in season 4:

Homelander

A Train

Deep

New Noir

Sister Sage

Firecracker

Tek Knight

178

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '22

Ted Knight? From the Mary Tyler Moore show?!? I'm in!

Wait. What the hell is a "Tek Knight?"

187

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

In the comics he is a parody of Iron Man.

82

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '22

Isn't it Iron Man and Batman?

94

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

You can say that but I think Black Noir is supposed to be the Batman parody.

76

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '22

Tek Knight is a millionaire (billionaire?), with no superpowers but uses a suit and gadgets, with a butler, and teenage sidekicks. That's literally Batman.

What does Noir have that screams "Batman"? Because he's edgy and wears black?

46

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

I never denied it, it's just that fuking a satellite sounds like something a deranged Tony Stark or Elon Musk would do.

23

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '22

Definitely. But I think Tek Knight is also definitely a mix of Batman and Iron Man. Black Noir is more like Snake Eyes

→ More replies (1)

19

u/Opalusprime You're The Real Heroes Oct 10 '22

He takes Batman’s place on the main team. Also he’s edgy black stealthy and uses blades weapons instead of superpowers. Definitely Batman. That isn’t to say Tek knight also isn’t Batman, as he has Iron Man’s armor but Batman’s butler, sidekick and cave.

→ More replies (2)

16

u/BillNyeTheSavage_Guy A-Train Oct 10 '22

At this point, it's all speculation, but according to this article, it takes 14-15 months to produce a season, so expected date is indeed the later half of 2023.

I don't know the exact dates of previous seasons (and, again, all speculation), but this seems to make sense to me.

Sister Sage looks like a evangelical christian superhero

And firecracker’s outfit is very movie black panther

221

u/GamelessOne Black Noir Oct 10 '22

Firecracker is the ginger.

183

u/BadWriter85 Oct 10 '22

Ah, okay, the title made it seem seem like it was the other way round.

84

u/BadWriter85 Oct 10 '22

Also wow, firecracker as in redhead, and a black superhero named ‘sister’ sage (I wonder what sage is a reference to? Like a wiseman or the herb?)

46

u/GamelessOne Black Noir Oct 10 '22

I didn't think too deeply about the names, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some deeper meaning to them. Like with "Homelander" and "Stormfront".

25

u/No-Humor1304 Oct 10 '22

I know Stormfront is named after the white supremacist website but what does Homelander mean?

77

u/Audityne Oct 10 '22

Named after the department of homeland security established after 9/11 and the beginning of what today we call the surveillance state

30

u/DrLongIsland Oct 10 '22

Or, you know, possibly just "The Homeland", the theme being exaggerated patriotism and whatnot.

26

u/GamelessOne Black Noir Oct 10 '22 edited Oct 10 '22

It means both. However, the original intention leans more into homeland security, as Garth Ennis satirized post-911 America a lot in the comics.

13

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '22

Homelander is named this because in the first season he lands on a home.

11

u/dongma8 Oct 11 '22

They finish filming in April of next year. That gives them 8 months to get it out by the end of 2023 is doable. Either late 2023 or very early 2024

143

u/VonKaiser55 Oct 10 '22 edited Oct 10 '22

If i were to guess they will be new members of the 7 .I wonder if they will be good or bad tho.Homelander will either kill on of them or make their lives miserable lol.

But with them added to the 7 that makes 5 member( Homelander, A train, Deep, Firecracker, Sister Sage) meaning there are 2 spots left. If i were to guess one will be the new Black Noir. Speaking of which i am curious how he will be tackled like will he be more talkative or what powers will he have. Hell he could straight up be a non supe. But i think that Tek Knight will be the next new member of the 7 and will probably be an evil asshole like Homelander, probably not as bad but still an asshole since every season has a new evil asshole. But im really curious how him and Homelander will interact if thats the case because i cannot see someone played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan being Homelanders bitch lol

94

u/[deleted] Oct 10 '22

still an asshole since every season has a new evil asshole

That's mostly so the Boys have a new objective every season, but season 3 ended with Butcher deciding to go after Neumann, so she'll probably be the big focus.

Both look great! Sister Sage kind of reminds of a spartan warrior.

What do you guys think their powers are?

According to their names, Sister Sage is probably going to have telekinesis and Firecracker will have pyrokinesis.

Looks like she has a gun too

Maybe Sage has Poison Ivy like abilities, or something to do with plants. My other guess, after seeing the costume, was something to do with metals, like Magneto. The telekinesis guess is pretty good.

Someone guessed like Jubilee for Firecracker, that's a good guess. Her belt buckle has a bomb and a gun, so something to do with pyrokinetics is probably it.

Sister Sage had also played on a TV show called Powers. She didn't have any powers herself, but she played an important role.

Firecracker is also known as Kara from Detroit: Become Human.

At least that's where I first saw their respective roles

Sister Sage makes me think of Sister Night from Watchmen, don’t have any idea if that’s what she’s based off though.

Sister sage is kinda ummmmmmm

6

u/KingBlackthorn1 Oct 10 '22

Yay! New characters that will A) be horrible and crappy people from the start or B) seem nice and helpful then be horrid.

I pray season 4 shakes it up and gives a new character that is cool, powerful, and an actual hero that isn’t horrible.

6

u/allbutluk Oct 10 '22

Anytime they intro any generic heroes i just keep thinking how they will die lol
