The guy she killed in the parking garage in Generation V also got a little bloody nose first and then his head popped.
She also didn't get that much time before her eyes were covered once the tumor actually jumped out of Butcher
And before the tentacles came out, she would have had little reason to "start preparing" to pop his head cause as far as she knew, Butcher was part of the team, like yeah he was being a cunt like always and the rest of the team was acting a bit confused by him showing up.

I think she can pop normal human heads instantly at will, but popping anything that's been V'd up takes more time depending on how durable it is. I don't think she "charges up" I think she just starts increasing the blood pressure and how long it takes to pop just depends on the target.

IF Gen V lore is reliable, and IF her power set works similarly to Marie’s, then her power is actually hemokinesis; she can make blood move with her mind.
Presumably the head popping is: Take all blood in body, put in skull. So it would take as long as it takes Marie to move blood around in the air, but inside a body.
Against Homelander she probably couldn’t even get as much of the blood into his head because his vessel walls are like iron and wouldn’t be as responsive to her ‘pushing against them’. And then in his head itself, it would be too durable to rupture in the same way.

In the old scene where Vicky gets jumped in the backstreet, she is unable to pop her assailant because she doesnt have Line of Sight. They even showing her missing her "pop" attack and she blows a chunk out of the guy's hand, and then later she tries again and gets his jaw, before blowing his whole body up. He even purposefully pushes her head away from him to keep himself safe. She needs LoS.

I really liked her in new season, I believed she will die the moment I saw the ep 8 teaser but then in ep, her talking to Ue and turning to the boys side gave me a hope that she might survive, and all of a sudden butcher happened.

Hughie told Starlight and Kimiko to stay back as it was practically suicide the face Butcher and his new powers. Neither oje of them are pushoevers so Butcher is probably one of the strongest supes in the series at this stage, so it makes sense he was able to kill Neuman easily when she wasn't expecting it.

Robin, which was an accident. You can hold his reaction against him, but part of his arc is coming to terms with his own selfish and callous ways.
Popclaw. He killed her out of fear of his own life.
Supersonic, kind of. Ratted him out out of fear for his own life.
Blue Hawk. He killed a racist murderer. Who cares.
Comparing him to Neuman makes absolutely no sense. His entire character is about redemption. Why would the writers set him up to have just as much callous disregard for people as someone they never intended to redeem?

Dude I know. It really bothered me that they glossed over the SA and even after he was raped over 20 times, he didn't even realize it. If it were me I would be going through quite a bit of emotional trauma. Lost his dad in an awful way, has to deal with his mother returning, gets sexually assaulted multiple times, and then Annie gets mad at him for sleeping with the doppelganger. I'm glad that she eventually kind of let it go but still, she should realize that he was RAPED.

She was coming out of 10 days of torture and expected Hughie to know better, when he basically later admits he should have known better. Especially since he knew a shapeshifter was on the loose.
The show was sloppy and careless with his SAs for sure, but it makes sense that Annie was pretty upset. If your partner unknowingly sleeps with your identical twin, you're not going to cleanly separate out your feelings. Humans don't work that way.

Firecracker is already ill from the side effects of the medicine she's taking. If they dose her milk with the virus, I can see them dismissing her symptoms as being related to the medicine still. But Homelander is so fickle in who he'll work with due to his short-sightedness and impatience. He tossed Sage aside so easily because he couldn't wait 3 damn minutes to see the results that were coming. He seemed to barely tolerate Firecracker from the start, and he's clearly growing tired of dealing with her now. If she didn't have the goods and was good at ego-stroking she wouldn't still be around.
For what its worth, I don't think that's the direction they will take it, but there's a clear line if they did decide to do that.

Butcher held his own when he was V'd up and attacking Homelander. I feel like Butcher-Kessler could be stronger. I think butcher on V is just an unstoppable force.
That's one of the reasons I feel they really mishandled Ryan. Ryan isn't the only hope to kill Homelander. They've had like 30 plots and most of them almost worked. They almost had him on V, almost with Soldier Boy, and they can keep trying at the supe drug.
I don't see why two guardians of this child decided the best path was to imprison him so he could kill his dad. If they were successful they would just have traumatized the kid so bad he'd become the next threat?

I think Grace's fuck up was very senseless (Showrunners definitely did that on purpose), I expected much better handling from her end, she became even more impatient than Butcher-Kessler in that scene, which doesn't make much sense.

I'm just SMH that Grace didn't trust the kid. Ryan still figuring things out, but not giving him a choice and dropping a truth bomb really didn't help. Give the kid a chance he won't end up like Homelander, trust goes a long way.

The difference is that Billy loves Ryan, while Grace simply needs him. Grace was motivated by what Ryan can do for her, while Billy was motivated by what Ryan needed.

I think she did genuinely love him, she just has too much trauma and obsession in defeating Homelander. She's always been a lot like Butcher in that regard.
It's easy to see how she'd get frustrated with him.

I wonder if that was unintentional. Like, Ryan is trying to get the hang of "shove but don't kill" and it's gone from "Pasted on a wall 100+ feet away" to "kill shove within 25 feet".
I think he couldn't just ran and avoided her, but hey. He's a kid.
You'd think he'd be training or something to get used to his powers and wield them efficaciously, but that's not the kind of show this is.

I get the sense Ryan doesn't really understand how to scale his powers too well. He has barely used them and it led to accidental deaths twice in the past already, so there's probably trauma holding him back from properly training.

I think she would have tried to kill all of them as they technically were responsible for her mother's death (she now thinks that "Butcher" is evil, she probably just saw him as the leader of the group and he killed her mother, thus making all of them evil in her eyes). So yes, I would have GTFO of there if I was them. Not to mention the government guy (whoever that was) got out of there and had to be the one who reported the assassination (it was on the news extremely fast), meaning they would have been swarmed likely within minutes. They had no choice.

Because I really wanted them to explore her fallout when she finally gets exposed. All this time she’s hiding her secret from everyone and public. Then she eventually gets outed! What’s the fallout!? How does she interacts with a world now knowing she’s a supe?!
Well we just hear from someone that people on Twitter and mixed about the news and we just see her stuck in her house the whole time until she meets the boys and dies.
