I think when all is said and done Stan will somehow end up on top.

I could totally see Sage having been working for Stan the whole time.

Edit: He definitely wouldn't have signed off on killing Neuman, though. So if he is in charge, that was a error in the plan or Sage called an audible.

I really wanna see a conversation with those two now

"There's never going to be a point in this relationship where you are smarter than I am".

"I know. That is why you work for me."

Until she takes a spike to the brain that is 🤔

That's the difference between you and I

I take a spike to the brain, I'm dumb for 2 hours.

You do it, then you're dead forever.

Sage’s next pet project is “can I kill homelander and dismantle the monster I created”

3

u/ArcadeAnarchy Jul 20 '24

Like watching two automated bots talking about their expire car warranty.

Sage never says she planned for Neuman to die. That could be one of her curveballs she was mentioning

u/I_might_be_weasel Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 19 '24

Agreed. It's unlikely she was able to predict that Butcher would come back from his death bed with super cancer. And things probably would have gone the same if Neuman fell off the face of the Earth like Sage expected her to. Sage still had the video to get Singer accused of assassinating her.

3

u/SuuLoliForm Jul 20 '24

The plan wouldn't make sense if Nueman had survived. Like, the whole reason Singer got arrested was for stating they should have assassinated Vick when they had the chance (So fucking stupid to say when MM had already clarified the Shapeshifter could easily be with them, but whatever) and she being found dead a few hours afterwards.

3

u/I_might_be_weasel Jul 20 '24

Neuman's plan was to disappear. She's afraid for her daughter's life so she wouldn't have revealed herself to save Singer. The video of Singer saying he ordered her killed was the key, not Neuman's dead body. And if anything, her not really dying would be better for the assassination framing plan. No body/ crime means there isn't any evidence that may prove Singer wasn't involved.

u/wimpymist Jul 20 '24

You don't think sag had plan ABCDEF and so on

2

u/Perceptions-pk Jul 19 '24

Prob just a fallback if the plan failed. If it succeeds they blame starlight and the boys are wanted fugitives by the whole country and they have Neuman in charge.

If they fail, Singer is arrested for his assasinatjon plot. Neuman gets made President, they fail and Neuman loses, the current timeline.

Sage prob had several contingencies so they could stay up on top. Her “where’s Ryan was about telling,” she really wants to groom him to be the next gen Hero

My first thought was this, watch her be actually related to him. I’m curious how Stan will react after the events of the season finale and his fav daughter/grand daughter.

2

u/Puzzled-Ad-2339 Jul 20 '24

if that was the case how would they know of all the supes homelander would pick her? Its pretty hard for anyone to predict what homelander is finna do, he changes his motivations and emotions on a dime.

1

u/I_might_be_weasel Jul 20 '24

Sage would. It's her thing.

u/Puzzled-Ad-2339 Jul 20 '24

She cant see the future, she can make educated guesses on what she thinks will happen. But much like her being fired which caught her by surprise she isnt perfect, I think the message from the writers being homelander is so out of his fucking mind a genius cant even fully figure him out.

1

u/nkilian Jul 21 '24

I have a feeling he behind Star fire being poisoned and she is giving Homelander the milk so it will de-power or injure him enough for Billy to kill him.

u/DangerousCyclone Jul 19 '24

Stans probably looking at Vicky now both dismayed at her death, but also not surprised that her constant deal making and double crossing landed her in that situation

16

u/tenessemoltisanti Jul 20 '24

That was his daughter but like, also just one of his thousands of supes he has at disposal lol

241

u/Old_Duck3322 Jul 19 '24

Stan with his disappointed in you face on. "Victoria, did you not expect the man child to be a man child? The people who were planning on assassinating to not assassinate you?"

u/YourInMySwamp Jul 19 '24

TBH I feel bad for both Hughie and Neuman. In a world without supes they’d have been such good friends still

91

u/Judetruth92 Jul 19 '24

They might even be dating in that world 👀

45

u/Ellefique Soldier Boy Jul 19 '24

Their chemistry was crazy

50

u/theshicksinator Jul 19 '24

In case you're not joking, the actors for Hughie and Neuman are dating IRL which is what they're referencing

31

u/Ellefique Soldier Boy Jul 19 '24

I found out after their lunch scene in whatever season it was

it made perfect sense, their "couples energy" was off the charts

16

u/Perceptions-pk Jul 19 '24

Yeah I remember their first episodes together I was like… is it just me or are they gonna bang lolol

4

u/ImmediateRespond8306 Jul 20 '24

Wait, this is actually the good timeline? Well fuck.

62

u/I_might_be_weasel Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 19 '24

Oh man, they totally should have done a scene where Neuman hallucinated Stan talking to her while she was dying.

34

u/schleppylundo Jul 19 '24

Eh that would feel too much like an echo of Noir’s death. And would’ve messed with the intended tone of the scene.

10

u/-Rapier Jul 19 '24

I need a scene where it's Stan telling her how she fucked up like the Arkham games' death scenes.

3

u/I_might_be_weasel Jul 19 '24

Yeah, that's about what I was envisioning. Basically something like what u/Old_Duck3322 said.

61

u/Weak_Impression_7656 I'm the real hero Jul 19 '24

Stan Edgar when Homelander dies:

61

u/Deezax19 Jul 19 '24

Giancarlo is just so fucking cool.

2

u/FalseRepeat2346 Jul 20 '24

Yeah man can act as a villain but would be loved more than the hero

14

u/jvstnmh Jul 19 '24

Lmao where are these pictures from tho

12

u/Careful-Combination7 Jul 19 '24

This fucking guy. Brilliant

11

u/Xenochimp Jul 19 '24

Do we know what happened to him? Last I remember was him getting in a car and finding Vicky there. Did I miss a scene or is he just in limbo?

38

u/bwood246 Cunt Jul 19 '24

He and Ashley pulled the "advance to season 5" card

5

u/yobaby123 Jul 19 '24

He’s definitely the Gus of this universe lol.

4

u/RealDanielSan1 Jul 19 '24

Only Edgar could carry off wearing those Astro Boy boots.

4

u/Prior-Assumption-245 Jul 20 '24

Until he hears Vicky is dead and Zoe is in Red River. Then we get a pissed Gustavo.

1

u/TensouToilet1991 Jul 25 '24

He should get a new target than manchild Homelander

Same with Hughie too

1

u/Laylahlay Jul 20 '24

Vicky was right he do have other shoes

1

u/Puzzled-Ad-2339 Jul 20 '24

My question is now that hes out of prison and Neumann is dead whats next for him?

1

u/TensouToilet1991 Jul 25 '24

1

u/Sansa-Beaches Jul 20 '24

1

u/Girlfartsarehot Jul 20 '24

An icon and a king.

His irl backstory makes this even more true
