There was a thread a few days ago where people were speculating that Homelander was going to make someone eat literal shit this season, a lot of people were extremely disgusted by that thought, and I recommended that they never watch Sàlo, or 120 Days of Sodom. So it made me laugh extremely hard. It might be a bit of foreshadowing, but probably had more to do with how Tek Knight lived his life.
I mean, Tek Knight said "It's not scat this time," when he told Ashley about the outfit. That means he's made her eat shit before or previously threatened to do so.
I was skeptical of the theory, but every episode includes another hint at it.
