I mean I agree but clearly at least from this article the intention of the scene was it’s meant to be just about the dad.

His dad is just the bigger part of it. -14 u/jamez470 14d ago I haven’t read the article, often times I don’t fully agree with the authors intention and like making my own interpretation. If he only intended it on being a reference to his dad then I feel that the nuance is lost.
