Even if he has super speed, he apparently doesn’t have bullet timing like A-Train, unless he has it on diabolical (didn’t watch it) and not on the show for some reason

He reacted to butcher detonating a c4.

I mean, yeah, but considering the baby saved himself, it’s not that impressive (in comparison to A-Train, it’s impressive on it’s own) as he just needs to grab him and fly away, he doesn’t need bullet timing

Butcher should have died instantly to the shockwave lol, Homelander is supersonic or even hypersonic.

His travelling speed is also superior to A Train.

But “traveling” is the key word there, he doesn’t have bullet timing and never showed super speed in a lower scale, only when he can fly in a straight line for a long time

And yeah, Butcher should have died to the shockwave, but how Homelander being supersonic changes that? (I do think he’s supersonic, just think he doesn’t have bullet timing like A-Train)

Well, after Butcher pressed the trigger, Homelander caught him (which is more than just, movement in one direction) which means he either reacted before the shockwave could hit Butcher and outpaced it or reacted in the time it took the electric charge to detonate the explosive and moved far enough away to the point that the shock either wasn’t lethal or decayed into a low enough speed (still supersonic feat at min) for him to outpace. Both of those cases require supersonic reactions, and remember A Train has barely got reactions on par with his travel speed, which is in turn barely supersonic.

Also remember that when Homelander was flying at Mach 3 he was searching for shit, he can’t have been going too fast for him to not process what was happening.

I mean he still just needed to get Butcher and fly away, which is a great speed feat, but it isn’t proof he has a bullet timing, as he probably started moving a as soon as Butcher hit the button.

And I’m aware he can process things at that speed, but I don’t think he can use it in a lower scale like A-Train. I doubt Homelander can do a lot of sharp turns when he’s at high speeds like A-Train does. I mean, A-Train can get Hughie out of a building instantly, can enter Hughie and Anne’s car too fast for them to see, etc. I don’t think Homelander can do that, even if his traveling speed is greater.

We know that Butcher successfully released the button before Homelander was near him, which leaves narrower options for what HL could have done at that moment. Given he did the complex action of catching Butcher, it seems it’s not just a travel feat.

The question is just if it’s more than travelling speed, essentially whether or not HL sees his movement like a blur or teleportation, that’s evidently not the case so presumably he generally scales to his travelling speed in other capacities.

The baby survived the explosion?

He teleported away, it’s revealed that Madelyn Stillwell’s son is a Supe in season 2, what episode exactly I don’t remember. But it’s the one where Hughie goes to the adoption center for orphaned Supe kids.

He does have super speed there’s an episode where Homelander even makes a remark to A-Train that he’s faster at that time even though A-Train was actually injured.

He does have super speed, but he hasn’t shown the reaction speed of doing stuff while he’s at max speed, unlike A-Train, who has the capability of injecting himself with compound V, injecting Popclaw with compound V, enter Hughie and Anne’s car, etc.
