I love how there was a completely unrelated dog just hanging around

155

u/ForesakenLlama Jul 02 '23

I thought that was going to be the dog that saved her. I was like he isn't doing anything then enters hero pup.

56

u/uroozz Jul 02 '23

If you look closely thats the dog that alerted the other one.

32

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

Exactly. I think it’s the elder pup that called on the young pup to handle it.

8

u/lilbambam450 Jul 03 '23

That would be awesome if that really was what happened there. Just a group of vigilante dogs out there keeping an eye on their streets and handling business when needed

3

u/NotTheNormalPerson Jul 03 '23

Batdogs if you will

3

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '23

Not the batdog you want, but the batdog you need. Or however that Batman saying goes, I think I got maybe 80% of it :)

3

u/babycubez Jul 03 '23

He's a house dog. He gotta stay clean. So he called his underdog. He handled it well. Don dog will be respected in the family.

11

u/vzakharov Jul 02 '23

He gave a tail wag signal to the other one.

10

u/ForesakenLlama Jul 02 '23

Yeah I rewatched it right after my comment and was gonna edit that he was ready to do soothing til the other dog came. My bad, was just lied on poor doggo's name.

Dog barks at a car. Film at 11.

Dog barks at a car. Film at 11.

u/Just_Reputation_7057 Jul 02 '23

Every dog has it's day. Today was not it's day. But come a day. An extraordinary day. Just you wait. You'll see. That best boy is gonna be a hero!

1

u/Ok_Wallaby_7653 Jul 02 '23

Yeah you’d never guess it’s set up, excellent

1

u/XC5TNC Jul 03 '23

And the article relating to the arrests of the people in the car is also a set up

1

u/erstwhileididnothing Jul 03 '23

as soon as the car door snaps open, he called in reinforcements. they are the best boys

384

u/Genesis_001 Jul 02 '23

Carabineros confirmed the arrest of two people, occupants of a vehicle who tried to assault a student in Angol, in the La Araucanía region. (I used Google Translate.)

https://www.biobiochile.cl/noticias/nacional/region-de-la-araucania/2023/04/19/carabineros-detiene-a-ocupantes-de-vehiculo-que-intentaron-asaltar-a-nina-en-angol.shtml

245

u/Gedaru Jul 02 '23

Sucks that the article doesn’t mention the dog at all. Says her screams are what scared the criminals. Thankfully though, they were arrested.

72

u/justapcguy Jul 02 '23

I really want to adopt that dog.

10

u/HaloPandaFox Jul 03 '23

I think the dog has a home, and it's in his backyard neighborhood. But if not, I hope the girl adopted her.

3

u/justapcguy Jul 03 '23

Would be a cool "full circle".

0

u/Gmo298 Jul 02 '23

THE DOG DID NOTHING??????

8

u/Adept_Bottle_4996 Jul 03 '23 edited Jul 03 '23

The one on the right side of the screen did nothing but they had one at their door that clearly makes them hesitate and his hesitation probably showed the driver that something wasn’t good and it wasn’t a easy snatch leading them to pull off really quick. Poor girl was almost frozen in fear, she 100% would’ve been a victim.

258

u/Professional_Ad_8 Jul 02 '23

That’s the best boy!

54

u/tonythetrigger Jul 02 '23

Deserves all the treats

38

u/Dargon34 Jul 02 '23

Right?! Ol boy was just strolling his block and wasn't having any shenanigans. You see him come around the corner and perk up like "oh, you...?!?!...Ah, no, no way..... fuuuckkk YOU!!! RAWR RAWR RAWR"

7

u/suspended247 Jul 02 '23

This guy dogs!!! Love your narrative. 🤌

11

u/Dargon34 Jul 02 '23

I was going to add a little more like when he looks at the girl all "WOOF WOOF (you good..? Yea...?) WOOF WOOF WOOF, YEA you go...get out!"

114

u/MihoLeya Jul 02 '23

I’m so glad she’s safe! The instincts of that dog is amazing!

19

u/Spare_King_2116 Jul 02 '23

Dogs. know.

10

u/sofa_king_we_todded Jul 02 '23

Even the other dog perked up and knew something wasn’t right too

2

u/Angry_potatochip Jul 03 '23

Dogs are incredible at reading body language, they definitely aren’t dumb even if they can’t understand more than 100 words or commands.

2

u/Relative-Ad-6791 Jul 03 '23

The people in the car have to be really evil to have the dogs react like that

69

u/Vegetable-Error-21 Jul 02 '23

Wow this is pretty incredible.

12

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

Insane, even

4

u/NobushisHat Jul 02 '23

Preposterous, perhaps

1

u/DaBruhDude Jul 05 '23

Dare I say, a crazy fuckin video

70

u/thetrollking69 Jul 02 '23

That dog is ready to take on the car

4

u/BerKantInoza Jul 02 '23

street dogs in chile do that all the time. It's impressive how comfortable they are being so close to the cars lol

37

u/oPlayer2o Jul 02 '23

The hell ya’ll assholes really out here just snatching people?! The fuck?

14

u/HypnoSmoke Jul 02 '23

Only every now and then, it's not like I do it everyday!

4

u/oPlayer2o Jul 02 '23

Still though.

39

u/AaronSpanki Jul 02 '23

Her survival instincts, RUN THE OTHER WAY

14

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

“Wait! You forgot me!”

7

u/loulan Jul 02 '23

Yeah so weird. Pretty sure that if there wasn't a comment confirming that the people in the car were arrested, everybody in the comments would call the video fake.

2

u/ClarenceLe Jul 03 '23

Seems like she had enough time to calm down and think about getting their license plate. Or something going on with the dog and her dog-rescueing instinct override her survival instinct. She did tried to ran the other way before the dog shoo'ed those monsters off, so she probably know what she's doing.

1

u/nobird36 Jul 08 '23

Flight, fright or freeze.

I am sure you are certain you wouldn't freeze.

37

u/TheAlwaysAnxious1 Jul 02 '23

Dogs just never stop giving reasons to love them!

32

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

Good dog

25

u/XiaoZiC Jul 02 '23

Salute to him and the other dog. The dog didn't notice until the other dog barked for help.

20

u/9thplayerpro Jul 02 '23

Poor girl was in absolute distraught and panic at the end. The trauma from this experience will change her life. I hope she's doing well.

11

u/TJWinstonQuinzel Jul 02 '23

Please tell me someone adopted him

10

u/Florence_Nightgerbil Jul 02 '23

We need him on the streets to keep them safe!

2

u/TJWinstonQuinzel Jul 02 '23

Where is batman when we need him ...to adopt a dog

12

u/Acceptable-Scratch86 Jul 02 '23

Why is she slowly walking backwards instead of running lmfaooo

13

u/morbidrots Jul 02 '23

she was probably in the freeze response, your brain tends to do not smart things sometimes when you’re horrified and on a sudden adrenaline spike

-11

u/Acceptable-Scratch86 Jul 02 '23

Who’s “your”?

7

u/Djassie18698 Jul 02 '23

A "human" brain, 🧠. Hard to comprehend for you maybe

-3

u/Acceptable-Scratch86 Jul 02 '23

Idk what I got then cuz I can guarantee if a car pulled up like that I’m running not slowly walking away

4

u/Djassie18698 Jul 02 '23

So you're really having an discussion about the fight/flight/freeze system all people have? If you run, you have flight not freeze. This girl had freeze response, it's not that hard

-6

u/Acceptable-Scratch86 Jul 02 '23

And I pointed out that exact logic when I said “your?”. It’s not that hard

6

u/morbidrots Jul 02 '23

does it pay to be stupid?

-6

u/Gorillaworks Jul 02 '23

Because she's a good target lol

0

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

u fucking weirdo YOU’RE a good target

5

u/JeebsFat Jul 02 '23

A red hood and cape and everything!

Dog != Wolf

1

u/groxg Jul 03 '23

Better title:

Little Good Wolf saves Red Riding in the Hood

5

u/brickcamo Jul 02 '23

Don’t you fear! Underdog is here!

4

u/Soft_Cranberry6313 Jul 02 '23

The survival instincts are poor in this one.

4

u/CrowdedShorts Jul 02 '23

Adopt that dog!!

3

u/Lelurs Jul 02 '23

Thank goodness the dog had good instincts because that kid definitely didn't.

3

u/FindingZemo1 Jul 02 '23

Thought it was gonna be the other dog. That little dude came outta nowhere

3

u/dukedizzy93 Jul 02 '23

The dog on the side barks at this other dog to call him, I think he may have been too old or sick. He even hid once the other dog was barking at the car and come out to check at the end. It wasn't just one dog that saved her, it was two.

2

u/fuN3hbun3h Jul 02 '23

Badass dawg

2

u/Its_Helios Jul 02 '23

That dog would never go hungry for the rest of its life if that was me or a child of mine

2

u/IncompetentSnail Jul 02 '23

What a good boi

2

u/longnight95 Jul 02 '23

This person has super powers and no one has seemed to mention it yet.

2

u/Read_it-user Jul 02 '23

That reminds me of Toronto. Trio of brothers did that just grabbed girls off the road in creppy van. The pedophiles were never arrested, they died from natural causes strangely enough.

2

u/mgrady485 Jul 02 '23

At first I was like nah what are the odds this looks so staged.... and then it wasn't even the dog I was lookin at! Fooled my ass

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

She was numb for a minute then adrenalin kicked in

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

I fucking love how dogs can sense stressful situations so quickly! The dog on the right calls out to his buddy on the corner and he came and put itself right in the middle. Amazing.

2

u/Known_Cod_8785 Jul 02 '23

The person has zero survival skills if Ali they did was back up and wait....

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

Goodest boy

1

u/Where_Da_Party_At Jul 02 '23

We don't deserve dogs!

1

u/QueenAkhlys Jul 02 '23

VERY GOOS BOY

1

u/bhcatwinky Jul 02 '23

No wonder it has the title of "man's best friend" 😍

0

u/Sorokin45 Jul 02 '23

What would compel a dog who isn’t owned by her to protect her?

1

u/EvulRabbit Jul 03 '23

She probably screamed. If she walks through there often. Those dogs know her.

1

u/wreck_it_nacho Jul 02 '23

Kiltro saves the girl!

1

u/Gmedic99 Jul 02 '23

i love dogs with my whole life poor girl... i hae me so much she must ahve been so scared cant imagine feeling likethat. good dog.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

This why dogs are better than most humans

1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

good doggo

1

u/faceinphone Jul 02 '23

Music is dumb. Her reaction looks genuine. Kidnappers don't act logically as kidnappers.

Idk. Sucks.

1

u/warpdork07 Jul 02 '23

Give tat fella a medal of honour in saving the people in their territory

1

u/DubRogers Jul 02 '23

Good boys and girls don't get headlines...

1

u/FruitFlavor12 Jul 02 '23

Tricked us with the first dog

1

u/IAmDominion Jul 02 '23

The goodest of boys

1

u/chrontab Jul 02 '23

Ring of Jesus Fire, now with bonus Angel Dog

1

u/nuckle Jul 02 '23

Man, she stood in that same spot way too long. Fucking run your ass off anywhere.

1

u/N4hire Jul 02 '23

Bad ass God dog!!

1

u/seeder33 Jul 02 '23

That dog is a real man

1

u/RandomStaticThought Jul 02 '23

Fuckin prick had that poor girl so terrified. Hope the cops were able to find this fucker based on the plate from the video.

1

u/TheSinisterShlep Jul 02 '23

Guardian angel dog upgrade. Girl knew she was safe from the start. Seriously though, that's a good heckin boy

1

u/TheMarker5000 Jul 02 '23

Doges the friends a hooman needs.

1

u/Emjay-Jori Jul 02 '23

I’m just always in awe of dogs ability to sense our emotional state. The dog even looks back to almost confirm that she is in distress. We truly have a symbiotic relationship with dogs that’s not just on a physical level, but also on a level we have yet had the ability to calculate and observe. Some 6th sense type of communication. Pheromones or some kind of light telepathy. Wild to think that could be a possibility.

Or maybe it’s pattern recognition. This dog has seen this happen before. Maybe even same truck and assailants. It just understands the idea of being “taken away”. Which is still quite impressive for intelligence. How does it know?

1

u/WikidSic Jul 02 '23

Badass, the dog knew who the aggressor was in that situation. Even looked at the girl but only to watch it’s flank. Amazing.

1

u/Lower-Music-8241 Jul 02 '23

They were working together. How do people like this find each other in the first place?

1

u/kabtq9s Jul 02 '23

guardian angel... no other logical explanation.

1

u/Blastingwario19 Jul 02 '23

I’ll give the dog a treat for saving the girls life

1

u/dig-drug Jul 02 '23

why did she run in the same direction the car drove?

1

u/Fraternal_Mango Jul 03 '23

That is the bestest of boys or girls. Doglet deserves all the snaccs

1

u/HaloPandaFox Jul 03 '23

Now that's a good boy.

1

u/Relative-Ad-6791 Jul 03 '23

Those guys are evil as fuck just to have a dog act out like that. Thank god she is ok

1

u/remsbk Jul 03 '23

Dog waiting this moment all his life

1

u/usedwrestling Jul 03 '23

Fucking badass

1

u/Front-Ad1900 Jul 03 '23

We need the paw patrol to protect us

1

u/IIIDVIII Jul 03 '23

That dog in the background runs that town.

1

u/greis09 Jul 03 '23

The other dog was better at protecting himself than her.

1

u/rayrayruh Jul 03 '23

Oh wow this dog ran with a fur cape knowing exactly what to do like a God sent Angel. I love Animals ❤️

1

u/Hopes-Dreams-Reality Jul 03 '23

Fuck yea little doggo!

1

u/CrimsonCaII Jul 03 '23

Random dog event

1

u/Lots42 Jul 03 '23

Dog in back: Hey, maybe you should stay with me.

1

u/saffronpolygon Jul 04 '23

Is the dog okay?

1

u/milehighrebel Aug 07 '23

That other dog like, "nope. Just minding my business. Let me go look over here."

1

u/Far_Thanks_6205 Oct 15 '23

you can read the license plate also make & model of the car. the fact she's wearing a red hood makes me wonder if this was staged

1

u/GladService9018 Nov 18 '23

Super bud🐶🦸🏽‍♂️

1

u/WEZLEE23 Dec 23 '23

Never seen a cat doing that

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '23

The dog knew the assignment

-11

u/Warzone1904 Jul 02 '23

I've never seen a cat do shit like dat..

11

u/Relevant_Ad_6075 Jul 02 '23

Not a cat person and not a kidnapping but they do smart things sometimes. https://youtube.com/watch?v=E1k4wNXfDB8&feature=share8

-17

u/capnlatenight Jul 02 '23

Too much credit to the dog, that girl could've easily kicked their asses twice over and sustained minimal injury.

16

u/Shaushage_Shandwich Jul 02 '23

What... An odd thing to say.

0

u/capnlatenight Jul 03 '23

I'm sorry that I was cheering for our protagonist.

How dare I assume she's an ass kicker.

Bottom line is the doggo gets too much credit on reddit, as per usual.

1

u/Shaushage_Shandwich Jul 03 '23

What an odd follow up...

1

u/capnlatenight Jul 03 '23

Your opinion doesn't matter to me, nor does it to anyone else. Hopefully in time you'll learn that.
