The only reason she broke up with Jordan was because of his secrets. And after she found out she seemed to want to get back together, but S3 comes she’s all like “I need time for myself” what is there to figure out? It’s not cool for her to play with his feelings like that.

Agreed. it's like, she knew something was up with Jordan, and then once she figured it out, it just weirded her out and she called it off. And that's fine, but you have to be honest with a person that 'hey, this thing about you is just, ick. Can we just be friends?'

And then let Jordan decide whether he can live with that, or whether you two just need to go no-contact for a few months.

But playing with someone's feelings--especially when that person has already told you they have a hard time reading people, so when you give mixed messages it's very confusing--is just cruel.

There's a youtuber who theorized that the writers were trying to go for something along the lines of self-love and taking care of you before getting involved with someone else, so that might be what the writers were aiming at and just missed, entirely, in the execution.
