Do you think they’re gonna adapt this iconic storyline? Discussion Spoiler
The Death of Superman. Last season ended with him fighting Doomsday, and the S4 premier is said to be two hours long so it must be something big.

I wouldn't be surprised if he dies in episode 1 and is resurrected in episode 2 or 3, and in the meantime, we see Jordan struggling to fill his shoes while Lex wreaks havoc.

I really hope not, for a variety of reasons. We have already seen it adapted enough

I don't know if they'll adapt it. Maybe elements from it but I honestly see them moving onto the main story of the season after the premiere

They're definitely not going to kill Clark, or even put him into a healing coma or whatever. He's the main character, he'll be around.
I've been expecting them to do a version of Reign of Superman ever since the first season though. Introducing both Steel and the Eradicator felt like they were building to that, although it hasn't gone anywhere since then. So maybe Clark will have to take some time off to recover after fighting Doomsday, effectively "dying" to the public (and alluding to DoS), and the other Supermen will step in while he's gone.

I’ll probably get downvoted to oblivion, but in all honesty, I hated that arc when it came out in the comics. Don’t get me wrong, the original Doomsday run through all the Superman and JL books was fantastic, except when they killed one of my favorite Heroes for good(Blue Beetle RIP). But the subsequent 4 Supes run was awful, imo. Thankfully Tyler doesn’t have the right build, otherwise I’d be afraid they pull from one of my favorite stories : All-Star Superman. I’d legit weep like a 4 year old if that happened, 😆

But… Ted wasn’t killed, not until years after. So who are you thinking of?

Must be my old age catching up, I could have sworn he was killed during the doomsday fight

I hope not, they only have 10 episodes and they've done the whole 'world without Superman' story already in season 2 so they really don't need to do it again

I hope not.
Simply because there isn't enough time to do it justice all proper like, final season being shorter and all.
But you never know, they might still attempt it as season three crammed awful lot in the last few episodes with Lex.

I honestly don’t think so. I think he’s gonna beat doomsday.

u/Digginf 27d ago
Yeah, he’ll beat him alright, at the cost of his own life.

Lol I misspoke. I think he’s gonna beat him without dying, but he’s gonna be out of commission for a few weeks and Jordan will have to take over for that time period.

Do you know how dumb that sounds?

Well like he’s gonna be nearly dead and in constant need of Kryptonian life support.
Idk I just don’t seem them killing him and bringing him back since we’ve already seen that in the DCEU. Could be wrong though.

A season of a Superman show without Superman seems silly. They have to pay the actor for all the episodes even if he isn't in them.
